Sorry, I misread your prior post. That’s right ref the progression, those heavy days got quite long back end of the program.
Look forward to seeing how you progress with it, I don’t generally hear of anyone running it. I ran it twice, with a 4kg increase in bell size, but my next bell up was 8kg jump and I definitely wasn’t pressing that…
Here is a sample progression of the program that has been created by other people who have done it. At the moment what I have completed is colored green.
I hadn’t trained for quite some time because I was sick with a bad flu. I have never been so sick in my life that lasted for many days. I’m still on meds, but I hit the gym today. I did one exercise for each muscle group and left. Squats, Incline Bench press and the rest was on machines.
Thanks.
Otherwise, I feel almost healthy right now, I’m just not in shape yet. For 4-5 days I was constantly in bed because I had a high temperature and I had no strength for anything else and it was difficult for me if I did not lie down for a long time. During this period I could not even eat. After that, my appetite gradually returned and I began to improve. But it was literally awful. I have never been sick like this in my life.
i had a bad case of flu march 2018. didnt get up from bed or eat for 10 days and lost 10 kg body weight and i literally thought i was dying and i have not yet regained the strength i had before. So i know how bad the flu can hit. wish you a speedy recovery!
SQ-5x47.4, 5x55, 12x62.5
BP-5x52.5, 5x60, 11x67.5
Row with a narrow parallel grip (Hammer machine)-12x80, 12x80, 12x100.
I had a few workouts before this one, but I don’t think there’s any point in describing them. Two days ago I only did two sets of triceps (Skullcrusher) and I’m still sore. Apparently, this part of the muscle was not affected despite many presses and push downs for triceps on a machine
I’ve been very lax about keeping a study journal lately. But my training is such that it does not deserve to be described. In general, I’ve been training more on machines in recent workouts.
I haven’t posted in a while, but I haven’t stopped training. I turned 50 years ago 2 days ago, but I still can’t realize it. The important thing is to be healthy and feel good.
I see that I haven’t filled out the diary for over 2 years, and I log in quite rarely, since the site requires me to log in via my email. Which makes it difficult for me, since it’s inconvenient for me to do it via the phone and fill out my diary from the phone’s keyboard. I miss the pleasure. And on the desktop computer in the office, many email sites are blocked. I don’t sit at my laptop or desktop computer at home, as sitting in the office is enough for me. And to be honest, I’m lazy.
But I visit the site and the forum regularly and read the topics and diaries with interest.
For the last year, I’ve been training mainly with kettlebells. I often take one of them with me when I go to the country cottage on the weekend.
In general, I do these things from the video below. And I’m happy with what I’m doing. The desire to lift weights and train in the bodybuilding style somehow left me. Obviously, at the age of 52, my desires are changing. What else can I say? From January to August I lost 22-23 kg. (48-50 pounds). I weighed nearly 120 kg. (264 pounds) and I am currently 97 kg. (214 pounds). At the moment I have strengthened myself again to lose another 7-8 kg. and get below 90 kg. (198 pounds).
Still, I shouldn’t write off bodybuilding and machines entirely, as I have a pain in my forearms that manifests itself when pressing like in Canadian wrestling. Yesterday I trained on machines, but today things are no better. Apparently the pulling part is tiring me, and on machines I pull heavier weights than kettlebells, although with KB there is inertia and ballistics in many of the exercises.
