Michele Bachmann; Thoughts?

Zeb:

Those tickets may…and I emphasize may be palatable to the Religious Right IF Bachmann heads the ticket.

Even then; having a Mormon on the ticket makes their support very unlikely.

I’ve corrected you before on your false assumption. Most of the “religious right” think that Obama is a muslim and will have no trouble voting for Romney–Absolutely no problem at all!

Do you really think this is true?

I know it’s true. I’ve run in these circles before and believe me most on the religious right think Obama is a muslim. And the ones who don’t are well aware that he attended a church of hate for 20 years. They will turn out in droves to vote for whomever gets the republican nod.

One more point in 1960 many thought Kennedy would lose because he was a Catholic. Up to that point in time there had never been a Catholic elected to the Presidency. Some were very concerned that the Pope would be running the country. Sounds foolish today but those were the prevailing fears of many. But he was still elected.

Anyway, it’s not that the people are concerned that Romney is a Mormon. It’s that the MSLM will attack him and try to scare the people because he’s a Mormon. As I’ve said repeatedly any of the republican candidates will have a difficult time beating Obama and the press. It will be an uphill battle.

“…Absolutely no problem at all…” is more than optimistic, Zeb.

Mufasa[/quote]Obama is not a Muslim, nor is he a Christian by any historical definition. He is a Marxist who dresses himself in neo christian garb. It took literally about 120 seconds to see that after the 06 convention. I would vote for Romney over Obama though I am no Romney fan for reasons having little to do with his Mormonism which is not much more than window dressing anyway.

In a country that has freedom of religion I don’t see how being a Mormon precludes one from winning the Presidency. It has never done so in the past and predictions that it will make a difference now are far fetched. Again, the media will try to make it a pivotal point in the election, but I doubt the masses will buy into it.

Romney has other problems than being a Mormon. For example, he has to defend the Massachusetts health care bill that he signed. Over all however I am beginning to think that Romney with a conservative VP running mate such as Bachmann or Christie is the republicans best bet. Not that they will win, but they could, it’s possible.

I just wanted to “bump” this, because as of today…Bachmann is seriously considering running.

Let’s discuss furthur.

  1. She is the “voice/leader” of the Tea Party wing of the Republican Party.

  2. She will have Evangelical support now that Huckabee has withdrawn from the race.

Can she win the GOP Primary?

Can she win the General election?

Let’s Discuss

Mufasa

She is already hoping to get a “major” Committee Chairmanship.

There is even calls for her to run for President in 2012.

I think that both would be a bad move for the GOP.

She is MUCH too polarizing…I view her as the “Nancy Pelosi of the Right”.

Now, because of her seniority; the GOP may not have a “choice”?

You love her or you hate her.

Thoughts?

I’d hit it…
