This sounds incredibly like myself. Over here in the UK we like to call it “the fear”. Before “the fear” has set in (ie. the deadline is 24 hours or less away) getting things done is at least x1290 harder.

It’s the worst. But then, if you manage to do well enough on the assignments, what’s the point in starting 2 - 3 days earlier for a 2 - 3 point bump on your assignment grade?

If I get a project that I have 2 weeks to finish, I’ll wait a week to start it while I work on another project… that I should have started a week prior.

Yes. Over here at least I should be on for a 2/1. Bumping up a few points would not change my degree classification in the slightest, however, to get a 1st, I would have to put in perhaps 2-3x as much work. This is why the degree system is kind of flawed over here.
