Dictatorial seems to be a feature in most modern political ideologies except capitalism (at least of the free market persuasion) … something about decentralizing the decision making process…

On a side note, I love how it’s “Markets” vs. “Equality”. I’m pretty in favor of equality too I just don’t want government forced outcomes.
I find this concept to be very … ambiguous … it can be twisted, seemingly, to mean very different things. I.e. equality of outcome vs equality of opportunity - one is tyrannical the other is circumstantial and constrained, largely, by geographical location and personal preferences in most cases (as it seems to me)

What do you think about gender-neutral public bathrooms?
Dude I was at a bar in the city I currently live in and they had a gender-neutral bathroom with plaque on the front door that stated:
“This bathroom has been liberated from the gender binary”
I wish I was making this up. Needless to say I’ve never gone back. Although not strictly on principle. The bar actually just kinda sucked.
Nothing is gonna ruin the bar hookup scene like seeing the hot chick you’re flirting with sprint by and crank out a bowl buster while you’re taking a whizz.

The only place I have seen one in person is Ottawa city hall, apparently both the universities have them too. Crazy people are in charge.
I was thinking the same thing when I first heard about this issue, some people are mostly concerned about girls getting harassed by perverts in the bathroom (which is a legitimate concern) but if you get excited by girls pissing and shitting then you are seriously disturbed.

My mind is blown by the idea of the gender neutral bathroom. At Ottawa city hall, did they at least have an OPTION for people who don’t want the opposite sex in the bathroom with them? Is that even a thing, or is that not a choice anymore?
On a side note, we should have at least tested the waters with the gender-neutral gym locker rooms. Girls would have seen enough old dude dicks to last them a lifetime and we could put this to rest. Although, with some of the girls I’ve seen at the gyms, the guys might be fighting for gender neutral everything after sharing a locker room with them.
Realistically, I haven’t seen any. I don’t frequent any real progressive environments.
Most of my recreational time is outdoors, and trees aren’t labeled. I could have peed on the women’s tree at some point and not even known.
When I was a kid the visiting team had to use the women’s (girls) locker room to change for wrestling matches.
All kinds of bad things you never want to see in there.

Hahah that reminds me. My pre wrestling practice ritual in high school. Run stairs for 20 minutes with the team and then run off to my private bathroom. This private bathroom just happened to be a girls bathroom next to the seldom used auxiliary gym.
Two girls from basketball practice decided go in mid poo. All they could see was my hair legs dangling and my wrestling shoes.

I think you overreacted. Normally, when you upset a woman, you give her time to recollect herself. Chances are that after a few days, women do forgive and forget. But I think you really nagged and pushed her. It upset her even more and if I were in your shoes, I would talk a walk and not even bother texting her. It is good that you had tendered in your apology. So just take your mind off the girl for a month or so and you will be surprised to see her come running.

you guys talking about gender neutral bathrooms: do you mean there’s like a gents’, a ladies’ and a gender neutral, or just one unisex bathroom?
One large room with closet style toilet rooms and a common sink area.
