oh yeah you shoulda heard what I was yelling when I read ID’s post about how Braveheart wasnt a good movie… I must have screamed Manlet at least 26 times
Honestly, Mel Gibson will always only be Mad Max to me. He’s never convinced me otherwise in any other movie.
Here’s me during several MG movies:
Lethal Weapon – “Cool, Mad Max as a funny cop”
Braveheart – “Cool, Mad Max getting his nuts cut off”
The Patriot – “Cool, Mad Max with a musket”
What Women Want – “Shut this shit off now” (Never got too far past opening credits.
Mad max would be his greatest film ever, although most people on here are probably to young to of seen it. Not even sure if it was a hit in USA. One of the best Australian made classic films with lots of bad arse cars too

Alas, it turns out the vampires at the IRS sucked his blood dry.
I guarantee that there’ll be a Blade 4 when Wesley Snipes is released. They need to start writing the script so that it doesn’t suck like Blade: Trinity.
At the end of the day you really have to think about how anti-semitic he really is. I believe there are two kinds of people with prejudice; whose who have some sort of internal or withdrawn prejudice and those who are openly discriminatory. I view the former as relatively harmless because their prejudice isn’t really brought about by anything substantial and they usually don’t do anything aggressive or violent against the target of the ‘hate.’ I believe Gibson falls into that category; he’s a Hollywood film star, chances are he’s freinds with at least some Jewish people. He was also drunk/not sober when he said the things he said - being out of it like that creates the potential for something to become a confession of some deep and hidden opinions.
Basically, I think of Mel Gibson as no worse than Michael Richards. Both men said things, unfortunately, that a lot of people think. It doesn’t mean they have any ill will or real hate for the groups in question but there is more to the story.

Agree it’s on par with good characters but for me the first one was more brutal
'Gibson and Eszterhas and have been involved in a heated back and forth over the past weeks, during which Eszterhas accused Gibson of making anti-Semitic remarks and threatening Grigorieva.
Eszterhas wrote a scathing, nine-page letter to Gibson in which he accused the actor of “hating Jews” and using “The Maccabees” film project - a story about Jewish heroism - “in an attempt to deflect continuing charges of anti-Semitism which have dogged you, charges which have crippled your career.”
“I’ve come to the conclusion that the reason you won’t make ‘The Maccabees’ is the ugliest possible one. You hate Jews,” Eszterhas wrote.
Eszterhas told TheWrap on Wednesday that he released the recording because “Gibson called me a liar. And I also have some reason to believe he’s creating a PR blitz questioning my truthfulness.”
During the rampage, Gibson shouts at Eszterhas for not having delivered a script of “The Maccabees,” their joint movie project:
“Why don’t I have a first draft of ‘The Maccabees’? What the f— have you been doing?” he bellows.
About his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, Gibson shouts, “I am earning money for a filthy little c—sucker who takes advantage of me!”
Eszterhas: It’s my great fear that if he(Gibson) doesn’t get intervention, if he doesn’t seek help and receive it then someone’s going to get hurt.
I just go to movies to be entertained for a couple of hours, eat popcorn and other stuff I don’t regularly eat, talk about how people are dressed or my wife’s favorite “now that’s an odd couple”.
I agree that Gibson has some anger issues.
No doubts!
But I generally love his movies (except the religious garbage and couple of obvious flops).
I could not care less about Mel’s drunk debauchery either.
Show me one pleasant drunk. I can’t stand them all that’s why I do not drink myself.
Besides, he just vocalizes crap that’s on mind of most people across all groups and religious beliefs.
That makes us people.
I personally hate cars in traffic :)))
I can outburst so much hate toward a goddamn Prius or SUV driving in NYC that it could shock you!
I guess, at the end, all that matters to me that Mel delivers more quality action films.
Let’s face it. We see less and less good movies on a wide screen:(
It seems that all talent escapes into TV Shows like “Dexter”, “Shameless”…

Mel does not have anger issues.
Mel Gibson is standing on the corner of “Lost his mind” and is about to cross the street to “BAT SHIT CRAZY”
I believe that south park had it right years ago. He is not angry. He is nuts. And crazy is good for a character not a director.

A man that talks sense esp. the drivin in traffic part. Some of shite that comes outa my mouth when I rushin in traffic is just plain wrong and I know it but hey it’s a crazy world and we are all guilty of it.
It’s easy to judge someone in the spot light and hold them up to a holier than thou ideal (I could never really picture the queen layin pipe or the pope havin a wank…) but lads, Mel is nuts’ and to be honest who fuckin cares as long as he makes good movies that entertain us…

I don’t get why when someone expresses there opinion about jews or what ever group everyone gets so fucking touchy about the subject. If the guy dislikes jews for some reason that his deal. The fact you can’t deal with it is on you. Put on your big girl panties and grow up pc police.
Personally I like Mel as an actor always have. To bad he is crazy as a loon.
