Medicinal Marijuana

Are there benefits beyond munchies and reduced brain activity? I’m 110%+ in favor of legalization…of every substance, and without regulation. I detest this friend-of-big-government approach where people feel they have to justify their vices so that they don’t feel like “them(stoners, or whoever they feel is below them).” “I want to get high without risking legal issues” should be good enough. This “Dude, marijuana is totes more effective at hydrating you than water” approach sucks.

So if it’s not any worse why wouldn’t we fight like hell to legalize it?

Instead we have spent billions of dollars and ruined countless lives and families over something on par with already legal substances we let people have in controlled environments

Harmless? No way. Our reaction to it? Far worse than pots effects on people.

Concur 100%. The government shouldn’t control what we ingest.

I just don’t like it when People pretend MJ is a panacea of health and wellness. Or some benign way to get high that’s “better” than booze.

Trying to look at legalization with eyes open.

What an incredibly ignorant question. LOL, yes, yes there are man. Do you seriously think doctors would be prescribing it as medicine if all it was good for was munchies? I’m talking about those who have a debilitating issue that need and use medical cannabis. Have you tried this thing called “Google?” There are many, many studies, papers, videos, quite a lot of information available on the benefits. As I mentioned earlier,

Here’s one quick personal example. An older gentlemen I play in a band with had significant IBS problems, his gastro guy have him every medication under the sun and nothing was helping. He was losing weight, couldn’t eat, constant pain and was in very, very bad shape. He was able to get a medical card, having never been a user before, and noticed immediate benefits. I saw him again, he gained weight, can eat, has almost no pain and is living a normal life again. Talk to anyone with epilepsy that takes medical cannabis and see if they think all it’s good for is munchies. You can easily find numerous videos of people with Parkinson’s who use medical cannabis to stop their tremors. Or veterans with PTSD, or folks with cancer, or people with glaucoma, etc. etc.

Unless this thought was covered up by the idiocy you often post, then prove it.

Well said but don’t expect these right-wing morons to understand evidence. After all it is all about their ideology.

Sounds like a Jeff Sessions quote.

Yes this study refers to medicinal marijuana but the facts ought to translate to recreational as well. Even if your article were true should medicinal marijuana be illegal again?

thumbnail-small

It should be legal. We should look at it’s effects with objectivity.

Just don’t pretend it is a miracle cure all with no downsides.

Are there benefits beyond munchies and reduced brain activity? Plenty you just gotta look.

Well said.

Well put. That is their guiding philosophy in a nutshell.

I didn’t say it was only good for munchies. I admitted that its ability to reduce brain activity could also be beneficial to some. You don’t have to sell me on it. I think marijuana should be legal, as should heroin, PCP, synthetic marijuana, fully automatic weapons, and any other substance you can think of.

Safer(and better and more necessary) than water, bro.

Your blatant ignorance of it’s actual medical benefits for those who really need it is what I was addressing.

Nobody “really needs” marijuana. Nobody is sick from a lack of marijuana or THC.

Uh what’s the time frame on that 13 shots? Went over that on new years. Didn’t even have a hangover.

I was wondering that myself.-I would have thought it would be up in the 20s More than 13 shots without a hangover is pretty impressive, though. Do you have a post-drinking/pre-bed routine you’d be willing to share?

No, they’re sick from other things, and Marijuana makes them feel better, just like any other medicine. Are you 5 or something?
