Mechanical pencil recommendations?

I hate normal mechanical pencils. They are way too thin. I like normal pencils but I will admit I am a bit lazy and don’t want to have to sharpen it. And besides, I don’t like the thickness variation.

I need something that has a very thick lead (like a standard #2 lead, but in a mechanical pencil form.

Suggestions? I like pens but pencils are probably my favorite.

Apparently in Japan, there’s sort of an Academy Awards thing for stationery*. And this pencil wins a lot:

It’s about $37.

Maybe. Lead looks a little thin but I can tell its much higher quality than these cheap plastic ones.

Might consider those

I like the cheap plastic ones. It’s the .003 #2 graphite nibs that I use to make the marks to cut and fit stuff like these frames-

But to be fair, I like the cheapy ones cuz I drop and break stuff all the time, so I’m not sweating it over them.

I Love the long nib marking pens from Japan. I end up marking points and lines on metals and various odd surfaces a fair bit, and they’re awesome.

What are you using them for?

Writing/taking notes. I want it to be pencil so I can erase things, especially for math. It will allow me to save paper if I’m doing an equation and have to restart solving it from the beginning. Im almost through my 3rd notebook for my Hon. Precalc class this year… (mostly because of the amount of homework. 20-30 problems is what we hope for because that’s on the low end. We’ve seen up to 50-60 problems before)
