Usually convenience. I commute on the train and it’s easier to have 2 scoops than eat, then can easily have 2 scoops during a meeting or something in a bottle. Only lean on it when I’m busy.
1 about 1lb - 1.5lbs per day
2 3 eggs every other day
3 Maybe twice a week in coffee (usually drink it black)
4 2 scoops most mornings, sometimes with an extra 2 in the afternoon
Multiple protein shakes in a day would be for convenience
@Brant_Drake you drank a gallon of milk a day for years?! How much did you gain in that time? Or are you just a bigger dude than average?
@ajb5478 are you in the US or somewhere else that you’re getting raw milk? Or are you like a homesteader?
@Stormblessed yes, the answers are interesting indeed. A little surprised to see that very few people are doing the milk thing anymore, but I guess that was more a fad and skewed younger than this forum’s population anyway. I’m also a little surprised that most of the men are barely eating any more than the women. Step it up guys!
in the US, yes . . we live in a very rural farming community . . I can drink raw milk and be fine but drinking pasteurized milk upsets my stomach to no end
Yeah, I grank a gallon of whole milk, 12 eggs, and 1 lb of red meat, plus whatever else I wanted per day. That would mostly be carby stuff, like ramen sandwiches, packs of red beans and rice, pop-tart and peanut butter sandwiches, chicken-fried steak breakfasts at Ihop, and lots of cobb salads. Workout nutrition was whey protein from walmart and Gatorade powder.
This was in my early 20’s - I’m 6’ 4" and started at 134 lbs after doing a lot of track, swimming, rock climbing stuff. My first time in the gym I had the bar fall on me trying to bench and a female trainer had to come get it off me. That was a kick in the ego.
After four years of eating like that I hit a max at a strongman-looking 289 lbs, and now have settled at 230-250 lbs to be healthy and look good nekkid.
I don’t think I’m a bigger dude - my brother and father-in-law are both taller than me, but I have a good 70 lbs on them and have a smaller pant size. I know I’m n=1 but the bulk worked for me.
