John McClane, he is very creative.

Now you’re bringing in Comic book heroes.
Rambo. The original Punisher is not Navy seal trained or all that special. He was a marine who served in Nam. He wasn’t spec ops.

Born in New York to parents of Italian ancestory, Francis Castiglione is a former U.S. Marine Captain. Before Frank joined the Marines, he was studying to become a Catholic priest but changed his mind because he was unable to forgive those who did evil. Also prior to his enlistment, he married his wife Maria who was already pregnant with their first child. During his time in the United States Marine Corps (USMC), Castle graduated from Basic Training, then went on to Infantry School. Immediately following that, he went through the USMC’s Reconnaissance, Force Reconnaissance, and Sniper Schools. Attaining dockets, Castle was permitted to go through U.S. Army Airborne School, and U.S. Navy Underwater Demolition Team training, becoming qualified as a Navy SeAL (Sea, Air and Land). He served in the Vietnam War in a special forces unit as a point man. For heroism in the line of duty, he was decorated with numerous medals, inlcuding the Purple Heart.

Draw
They’d just kick each others asses to near death, and then go to the bar and laugh about it.
I’d give Riggs the edge, but it would still be close as all hell. At least you know who Martin Riggs is.
Whoa whoa whao. Hold on fella’s.
That is some crazy shit. McClane fucking owns Riggs 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Once every four year, on February 29th, Riggs wins.
I mean, really whats Riggs gonna do? Strangle him with his mullet?

Do the eyeball crush move with his thumb. McClaine doesn’t bleed out, but if he can’t see he can’t fight.

John McClane has been beat up possibly more than anyone ever. He’s got an iron chin and can’t be knocked out. He could fight without seeing. Believe me.

They just put that shit in there because Punisher was becoming popular and they had to back up why he was such a bad ass. Back in the 70’s and early 80’s, there was not a damn thing mention about Seal Training or Recon training.
Before the Origins comic books, Wolverine never had bone claws. His claws were given to him by either weapon X or another government group.
Punisher was never a bad ass Force Recon Navy Seal trained guy from the beginning.

Martin Riggs: Ex-Green Beret. Expert in hand to hand combat. Probably did black ops stuff, so he’s very well trained.
Not only was he tortured, he killed his torturer, escaped, killed 2 more men bare handed, freed his partner and the girl, and then went on to kill 2 more people.
He’s called a Lethal Weapon for a reason.
I’m not saying McClane wouldnt put up a fight, but when you are a trained killer…you’re a trained killer. Simple as that.
I’m a big John McClane fan, but whenever he fights somebody who’s a merc. He’ll get the upper hand, then lose it, then the bad guy talks shit and taunts him, that’s when he finds a weapon and kills you.
Both Rambo and Riggs are expert fighters and they’ll fight dirty.
Martin Riggs pulled the knife out of his leg, stabbed the guy who stabbed him, and then dropped a 1,000lb crate on him. (Lethal Weapon 2)

Good points. Ones I overlooked.
I completely retract my earlier statement based upon the above presented facts that McClane could take Riggs.
King Leonidas v. William Wallace anyone?
I’d take Wallace because his weapons were more advanced due to improvements in metallurgy over 1500 years.

It would be pointless to debate fiction that spans several decades and story arcs, I’m just saying the references are on his official bio as well as in several comic books… For example, in Punisher - Born, it is mentioned that Frank Castle has done three tours in Vietnam, of which two where spent in special forces doing black ops.
Though training or not, he certainly possesses all the required skills and traits to kick anyones asses mentioned in this thread.
If this where for real, Dutch wouldn’t have even survived to this contest since that mud camouflage of his wouldn’t have stood a chance against the predator’s IR vision.
I’d submit that Rambo wins by being the most “realistic” bad ass of them all. ![]()

Which Punisher? Straight from the comic, Dolph, Tom Jane, or the guy from Rome?
Its close but I think the Punisher takes it. Both kill unskilled if not untrained henchmen/cannon fodder, and their overall body count are probably close (edge Punisher?)
Castle has, however, shown an ability to think quite a few steps ahead of his opposition, and does extremely well when he goes up against other skilled, military-types- Barracuda, a Russian regiment, US Spec Ops. Hell, if you account his exploits in the Punisher MAX series alone, I think its safe to say he’d hand Rambo his ass after decapitating a limb or two.
Barracuda alone would take out Rambo
considering McClane isn’t a real person, Rambo wins ![]()
Ok, royal rumble: Rocky vs John Matrix (commando) vs Vin Diesel vs John Cena
Who’s the last man standing?
None of this is relevant.
We are all only allowed to survive because it amuses Chuck Norris.
Chuck norris vs Tony Jaa?

Pffht (lol).
Chuck in his prime was a legitimate bad ass and would have significant weight/power advantage on Tony Jaa. I’m not saying Tony Jaa isn’t an exceptional martial artist, but he’s more of a theatrical one.
Chuck has also extensively crosstrained in other martial arts such as BJJ (brown belt) and created his own system by mixing them.
Chuck Norris fight record: Chuck Norris - Wikipedia
I would go as far as to say that Chuck today at almost 70 years old would still whoop Tony Jaa.
