Hey Irish, I think it’s a combination of both weight and age. But at least Mayweather will retire before he turns into the RJJ. I hate when great fighters don’t know when to hang em up.
This fight did not show me if Mayweather is older or slower. It did show me Shane needs to retire, and that even Mayweather was bored for this fight. He had to do his best to make it look like Cotto was a difficult fight for him. Evidently he did a great job. The sad part is I watched it, even though I swore not to attempting a personal boycott.
Mayweather needs to fight Pac and retire. He will make money fighting but why go through the damage 40 year old fighters go through to end up with dementia and 200 million dollars. He could be Rich Legendary and Healthy.

btw, i am wondering why the hell more people are not screaming for a Martinez/mayweather fight?
Martinez will have no problem submitting to drug testing, and can make 154 no problem. I think this is a MUCH more competitive fight than Pacman/mayweather.
