Are you referring to stubble on heads and faces?

Rubbing stubble in an opponents eyes and face is an old trick. It can re-open cuts that were closed between corners. Holyfield was a great example of this.

Holyfield vs Tyson:
- YouTube

Holyfield HL video: Really, this is what makes Holyfield so great. Even in this video you will catch him using his head and rubbing in the clinches, and the intent of whoever cut the video was to show him as a white hat. It even starts off and closes with Philippians 4:13 (Everything is possible in him who has strengthened me.)

Counter point is smooth shaven plus vaseline might mean you catch a little less off of glancing shots.

Hahaha!! Evander is a bastard. King of the nastiest tricks I ever seen in boxing matches. Poor Mike, lol. No wonder he couldn’t wait to make him pay in II. Evander didn’t see that ear bite coming, eh? Hahaha!

My thoughts, as well when I watched both fights.

So the forum is make believe? I thought you were grown. But then again, your name is completely made up, and your avi is of two fighters, neither of which is you. I now understand your perspective.

I’m known by my SN, and that’s me in the avi. And I don’t say or do anything here I wouldn’t do/say anywhere else.

One is make believe, the latter is accountability. We now know where you stand. So tell us, do you pretend to be a journalist? Or is that part of the internet make believe thingy?

He didnt challenge you to fight he said say it to his face. Why dont you. I know a thing or two about a thing or two and I know you wouldnt. You say it here loser.

I’m sick of the tension between Irish and BG. they should just fuck and get it over with.

im a bit late, but my initial reaction to this was that mayweather is a dick. however, after watching a lot of interviews with uk boxers on uk tv, and hearing them DEFEND mayweather and basicaly side with him, i changed my mind. amir khan, who is always calling mayweather out, said he would have probably done the same as mayweather. the guy is from the streets, some guy fouls him several times, then does a flyin head butt, tries to hug it out way too much, then fails to defend himself. i dont feel bad for the guy and i think he didnt feel bad for himself either. fair game.

And I’m sure GSP would have done the same if the public didn’t give him the do no wrong persona that he has grasped and happily abided by to secure if fame and fortune.

Now TBG… I will happily call you a bitch to your face
And long with my 2 cents, you have 4.

Your opinion that it wasn’t cheap is noted. Do however note there is a lack of consensus there. The divide is pretty large, so your opinion or mine is pretty fucking meaningless.

GSP EARNED his reputation. Believe it or not, good guys, that compete with honor and sportsmanship, who conduct themselves with “class” do exist - they are just exceedingly rare in today’s society.

If you’re along the NY State Thruway this Friday, I shall grant you that opportunity. No more discussion there is necessary. Let me know if I should PM you my number.

Shut the fuck up dude, you’re such a joke.

Seriously. Challenging fucking people to fights on the internet, how much of a loser could you possibly be?

Hey - you called the guy a bitch. Over the internet.

Where I’m from, that’s a bitch move.

Now on the other hand. It’s stupid to challenge somebody to some IRL stuff. I have WAY too much to lose just to whoop your ass (or worse).

I told you already that I REGRET challenging some inbred redneck racist POS on the internet, even though he made some vile insulting and racist comments regarding pics I had posted of my kids.

I was just making an observation of how things are in this generation in the cyberworld.

imho

true…challenging people to fights over the internet is stupid, i did it once, and i have regretted it since.

also, I think TBG and myself are pretty much the same age, and I think the personal insults and name calling while safe and anonymous behind a keyboard is a phenomenon our generation just will not get used too.

I have accepted that it is just a norm of society at this point, but I still do not like it, though I realize I am impotent to stop or change it.

BG or Irish I think one of you said you wanted your fighters to be brawlers, well, you don’t need to look further than Pac-Man. Dude is a straight brawler and I believe he would out-class Floyd in the ring. He’s the definition of a fighter, he won’t pull that Ortiz shit and that’s what Floyd is so scared about.
I’m not saying I like a brawler so to speak, but I certainly respect the grit shown by the likes of Gatti/Ward for instance. I like my fighters mean spirited is what I meant. It’s a fight. Kiss later. Be nice later. Up to and the night of the fight, I want a guy with bad intentions. Floyd will never have to brawl; he’s too good. If he’s brawling, he’s beat.
huge contradiction. You want a guy who’s mean spirited, but you say Mayweather took a cheap shot because the guy tried to kiss and hug him 3 times?

I think you make a fair observation, but I still don’t agree. I know I’m splitting hairs but the guy was totally defenseless and it just doesn’t sit well with me. It’s like obscenity I guess, “I can’t define it, but I know it when I see it”.

I have no problem with low blows, elbows, head butts and such…“it’s all in the game” so to speak. As I said, one of my favorite fighter is B Hop.

This was just different in my eyes. Is it a contradiction? Perhaps. I like class, but I like my fighters mean. I don’t like all this kissing and hugging and bullshit between some fighters. I like the menacing spirit a Mike Tyson brought to a fight. Kiss and hug after. That was my real point.

EDIT:

You know, even Tyson exhibited a sense of sportsmanship for all his well chronicled follies and miscues. In the video posted here, when asked about Holyfield’s headbutts…he said to the effect “yeah, he headbutted me, but I probably headbutted him too”. I like that.

LOL @ this “internet culture” where grown men talk in a way that they would not otherwise.

So where is the line drawn? What if you happen to live down the street, a few blocks over, or across town, and you say, “fuck you, when I see you, bla bla bla bla”. Is that not “real life”. Since when has a man’s words, spoken or written, become “not real life”? LOL at this imagined “IRL” defense to the internet. And a big LOL to any of you that type shit here you wouldn’t do in person.

You walk into any bar tonite, and call another man a bitch, and that’s a prelude to hostility. If you don’t “get that”, I’m not sure what world you live in. So why is it okay to call another man a “bitch” on the internet and not get called on it? He and I are a half hour apart. He aint in Texas.

Anyway, I don’t give a flying mother fuck about anyone’s opinion. Where I’m from, where I walk every single fucking day, we don’t go around calling a man a bitch without expecting some confrontation. And where he claims he’s from, you don’t do that either.

Any “man” that doesn’t understand you’re accountable for your words is a fucking retard.

So tell me…where is the “line in the sand”? Your next door neighbor or guy around the corner is on the internet calling you a bitch…you have nothing to say when you see him? Really?

I don’t get worked up about pussies from GA - they’re too far away and any man that talks shit on the internet that he won’t say in person is a bitch made motherfucker that was raised by his single mama. But when a motherfucker is a half hour away, and he’s a grown fucking man, I’ll give him the opportunity to get that shit off his chest. Because I don’t get to hear that shit in real life…

And I want to know what is sounds like.

To further clarify, I’d have preferred Mayweather retaliate in kind and more, DURING THE FIGHT, when the other guy was fully engaged.

Does that clear up the apparent contradiction?

This is hateful and inaccurate. The stereotype that folks from The City have about people from more rural areas spending all our free time trying to get fishnet stockings onto a sheep is simply not true. We would never dress a sheep up in fishnets. The stockings leave funny lines in the wool.

In summation, I’ll just leave this here.
