Mayonnaise

You guys getting on X about taking the mayonnaise route for this thread, GET OFF IT. You can’t judge the seriousness of the man’s pain by that. You’re fucked up.

X, did the pup have a collar with tags? If so, I’d recommend going through their trash with a fine toothed comb on trash day. They probably didn’t hurt your dog but if they decided to take him to a shelter or give him to a friend or anyone, they would have removed the collar. Your dog almost for sure went under the fence.

I really think you and as many friends as you can get, should make an effort to check every single shelter as quickly as you can no matter how many there are.

Digging thru trash is no fun drudgery. Going from pound to pound is no fun drudgery either but those are the actions most likely to get your dog back. Good luck.
He had no tags. That was exactly why I put him outside…so I could take him to Petsmart and get them made that night.
So, what are these neighbors like and what’s your relationship with them like?

I ask because the most likely scenario is the dog went under the fence and the neighbors took him. This is pretty jaw dropping 'cause neighbors normally look out for one another and would never do such a thing. Further, they would have to know you would know they had something to do with it. It’s a secure community, your gate was shut (right? and for all they knew, locked) and there’s a hole leading into their fucking yard. Where the hell are you supposed to think the dog might have gone?

Do they happen to have young children? You should be able to manipulate a conversaton with a child to find out if they know anything.

Did you ever see their dogs interacting with your dog? If there’s any chance their dogs hurt your dog, I would bluff by telling them a neighbor saw their dogs attacking a smaller animal at about the time your dog went missing. Done right you might be able to bluff a confession. They might be trying to save you some pretty tuff news by staying mum.

Why? Because prof fucks with me too. If he couldn’t take it and I knew he’d go jump in a meat grinder over it I wouldn’t have said it.

Im the meanest person in the nicest way. I say shit like this to catch people offgaurd. They get confused and then laugh because they can’t believe anyone would really say it in their time of need…I use lots of misdirection.

Last week a friend told me she was pregnant and terrified because she isn’t equipped to be a mom…I said “I have a wire hanger in my closet you’re welcomed to”

She laughed her ass off.

“Awwwww buddy I feel your pain” isn’t me.

yawn
I know you’re tired. Don’t worry though. Drink a little hemlock and knock yourself out…

I sprinkle ground hemlock on my Count Chrockula cereal every morning.
There’s a meatloaf in my fridge. Im afraid of it. I have no idea where it came from.

I just went to get a bottle of water and it was just sitting there.

It doesn’t taste like the ones I make…my moms or my girlfriends…

Really scared.

My dog would run around that section of the fence for hours fucking with those dogs. I would often bring him in because his playing and running was making their dogs lose their minds. I know most of my neighbors, but my first contact with them was with the cat incident…and then nothing.

I didn’t even think of this.

I’m not sure I’m glad to be thinking of it now.

Yeah, maybe I shouldn’t have brought it up. I would probably want to know though. In some ways, not knowing is worse.

My dog killed a chihuahua that ran into the yard and attacked him once. My dog was on a lead, it took all of about 2 seconds. But in that case, my dog acted like he thought it was a squirrel, not a territorial thing. The dog’s owner came over a couple minutes later looking for it. I was more upset than they were though.

Not to inspire more dark thoughts, but if your neighbor thinks you killed her cat, perhaps she did something to your dog when it dug into her yard as retribution.

That is rough. REALLY hoping things take a turn for the better here…

Sorry to hear about that, I would rip someone apart in every way imaginable if someone were to do that to one of my big guys. (especially the old one) I hope you find your dog soon, pounds are very good places to find pets, especially if the pets are nice, (they’ve actually called my dogs off the property then catch them before) and calling isn’t reliable at all you actually have to go there or chances are they will not say your dog is there, or have a dog there that in no way resembles yours.

I doubt the neighbors hurt the puppy and the dogs probably didn’t either. If the dogs got the puppy it would have been loud and people would have heard it or at least the owners would have assumed it likely enough that they wouldn’t have denied knowledge.

I think the neighbors got the puppy and the man said “that fucker over there is letting this puppy dig up our fence and rile up Max and Rex all the time.” The woman replied “I think that fucker killed Puss”. And they both said “Let’s take this puppy to a shelter where he can get a good home”. That’s what I think happened. Hit the Pound hard X.

This sounds about right.

None in the area have seen him and most won’t accept a pit bull for adoption. I could try driving to some of them, but it has been three days. Nobody would let that pup sit for long without picking him up.

The whole story sounds pretty weird.

Someone staked out your house to steal your little dog while you were asleep?

If that happened, that is very odd in my opinion.

What sort of a person would do that, and why?

(i am not saying it didn’t happen like that btw)

Yeah, right!

Next week someone will post a thread here about an obscure news article where a dentist/BBer in the Houston area went nuts and BBQed his dog to make a cheeseburger. When questioned he said he needed the extra protein to gain mass because he was in a bulking phase and couldn’t wait to buy new food, less he would lose his precious muscles. The police believes the roidz made him do it.

You’re being nice… Not necessarily truthful but nice.

this is why I’m getting a pet Bear. A lot less bear theft out there. Did your dog like mayonnaise? Its good for their fur isnt it? Helps them build a gut.

Find the dog theif…steal their mom.

Good Luck and happy hunting.

That’s funny, but not appropriate for this time. You just look like an ass for saying that…

anyone who’s enough of a psychopath to steal a dog needs to be euthanized honestly

This is getting silly. The neighbors didn’t take the dog, their dogs didn’t kill it, it wasn’t stolen from the yard by vagrants or aliens or anything else. It got out. That’s it. He left a rambunctious 3 month old puppy in a yard unattended for 2 hours and the dog found its way out. That’s it. Hopefully he was picked up by a caring person/family and he has a good home.

I think The X would know if his fenced in yard was escapable.
