Maximum Strength HOT-ROX or Fahrenheit?

Ok. (CY?) I have asked numerous questions pertaining to Fahrenheit for my fiancee, but I wanted to give a bit more info. concerning her and her training and diet, and then ask the question of which fat burner would be better for her…Fahrenheit or Maximum Strength HOT-ROX?

She is in her mid-30s (5’6" and 139/140lbs), and with the exception of her training is sedentary at her job for 10-12hrs/day (occasionally gets up and walks around her store, but most of her time is spent at her desk or in her office). When she started to get back into exercise a little over 4 months ago, we started her on 1700 cal/day, with at least 100g protein per day, and the rest coming from carbs (veggies/fruit/low carb tortillas), 3g of DHA/EPA a day (7g fish oil total), plus mixed nuts (no peanuts). Suffice to say, she is eating the right foods and eating the right combinations (P/F and P/C). Over the course of the last 4 months, we have slowly decreased her calories because she was seeing very little in the way of results (according to her measurements). Currently she is taking in 1200 cal/day, with at least 100g protein, 50-100g carbs a day (depending whether it is a weight training day or a interval cardio day), and the rest from good fats (fish oil, olive oil, mixed nuts).

She trains with weights 3X week, currently doing Chad Waterbury’s Total Body Training on MWF and she runs intervals for 20-25 minutes on TuThSa (she walks 4 telephone poles, then runs 2 telephone polls and repeats. she does not run all out, but pretty hard and her heart rate gets up to 180-190). She has been taking Fahrenheit at 4 caps a day for a little over a month now, and she has lost 1lb according to the scale and just a little bit (less than .5 inch) on her measurements.

We are not looking for a magic bullet in a fat burner. I am just wanting to know, given her situation, which fat burner (Maximum Strength HOT-ROX or Fahrenheit) would, theoretically, work better for her? I initially picked Fahrenheit for her because it seemed like it addressed more of the things that could help do whatever it is that needs to be done to her metabolism, not because she did not train and eat right. Is my thinking flawed? Please advise.

Alexandar,

If she’s following the programs here on T-Nation, she should absolutely be using Maximum Strength HOT-ROX. As I’ve said before, Maximum Strength HOT-ROX is designed for people that are completely serious in terms of diet and exercise. In the simplest terms, if you follow the programs on this site, that qualifies you, man or woman. This is also why you won’t find Fahrenheit on the T-Nation site as it’s designed for the less active woman who wouldn’t know, much less care, about T-Nation or the dietary and exercise programs found within.
