I went into a local ‘Max Muscle’ Sports and Nutrition center the other day. I was impressed with the facility, but once I began listening to the ‘trainers’ and ‘nutritionists’ there, I realized that it was barely better than listening to the brain dead morons at GNC.
First, the owner was trying to sell me some NaNo Vapor, stating that it actually had Nitric Oxide in it (laugh) while some nutrition woman was giving a consult to an overweight soccer mom, telling her to buy all these supps and do ONLY cardio if she wants to lose the weight.
I left laughing to myself.
The only good thing was that they actually carry the 100% egg whites, which I really like.
The Max Muscle here in Mt View was busted in a steroid sting.
They’re all sleazy joints if you ask me.
Ponce, I know the store you’re talking about. What area of the Bay are you in? On that note, I went into that same Max Muscle to buy lifting chalk and they didn’t have it. Disappointing to say the least.
Personally I’d say Max Muscle is a step above GNC - although that’s not saying much.

I actually bought their - MM, not the law firm 
- MRP powder once because I needed to get in extra calories…had so much sugar and just made me feel weird. I remember the guy who sold it to me, too. He was a scheister…
Stupid MRP was $45 ! I know better now.
I wouldn’t say a “step” above, its more like the higher side of a crack in the driveway.
That being said…there is one near me, and the guy that owns it is a nice guy. Not too pushy, and he knows I’ve done my research so he doesn’t try to push supps on me. but it’s overpriced the same as GNC.
