Yes and no.
I can do a weeks worth of work in about 3 hours on it, but i still procrastinate up until that point.
I do perform better on adderall, which I feel some guilt in saying that I’m taking again (at much lower doses).
Yes and it only kind of worked.
The term is “executive function”. Theres no pill for it, it’s just a muscle that needs to be trained.
This has worked very well for me in the past. I’m just limited in my capacity to take on these roles.
I’m very stagnant in my current role at work, which i know is contributing to this in part.
I’ve got golden handcuffs… other jobs of the same grade WILL payless for no are benefit.
I have been lucky to land in a teaching situation that keeps me from getting bored. I must teach 9 different courses through the year. That helps. I do not know how some of my peers throughout the district teach the same curriculum trimester after trimester year after year. Some of them are brilliant. But I cannot imagine teaching Romeo and Juliet three times a year. I had bounced around districts for the first 20 years I have taught, but now having escaped the world of Special Ed, I have found a nice niche.
Yea I guessed as much, why can’t the pill from limitless be a real thing?!
No need to feel guilt, it’s a legit med taken for a legitimate reason, not a sign of weakness, there’s a time to be hard on yourself and a time to recognise legitimate issues that aren’t excuses, just reality. If Adderall is a net positively and benefits yours and your family’s life then take it for as long as that’s still the case.
Not huge into motivational quotes but this one from the Modern Wisdom podcast has stuck with me. You’re the sum of your actions day in and day out and if you don’t have what you want, it is on you.
They had kids classes so before I sent my daughter along for a trial run, I figured I better give the adults classes a go. Have enjoyed it since day 1! My thinking at the time was a bit of fun and self defence so my kid could defend herself if need be. So I’ve been attending 2 classes a week average for a year now, and done a few comps for grins too.
Physical metal, not funds. Collectable coins are fine but you pay more per ounce. Generally get rounds from reputable dealers, or even small bars of silver. Most my gold is in 1oz coins like American Eagles or Canadian Maple Leafs or South African Krugerands. Also have “junk silver” pre 1964 US dimes, quarters and half dollars as well as rounds that are non denominational coins of various gram weights.
Trying something new.
Starting every morning with a fasted run. Idk how far it is, but it takes me about 10 minutes. I’m not tracking shit here, just doing it because it’s hard. I finish it with an all out sprint.
I started this Monday, then messed it up by not lifting after.
Skipped it Tuesday because my calves were dying, but i fucked around and didnt train.
Did it this morning then trained. I feel good.
