Didn’t train yesterday, was too sore from farmer carries (not a bad thing).
Losing motivation to keep cutting. Don’t want to keep counting macros and tired of training so damned hard without seeing much (if any) muscle gain.
Diet went to shit yesterday. I ate 2 slices of pizza and my stomach immedately told me to stop eating like an asshole. I later ate some protein pasta (not that bad macro-wise actually) and proceeded to eat 20oz of chicken breast… which led me to being so full I wanted to vomit.
In reality, I was likely still within my maintenance calories, but IDK why I eat like this. I don’t understand why I feel the need to keep ramming food in my face when I’m not hungry; I wasn’t even stressed.
Maybe I would be better off just doing my old stupid diet… .5g/lb carbs and no upward limit on lean protein
Last time I ran this diet, I didn’t have a lot of muscle to start with so there wasn’t much to lose. Now I’m about 40lbs heavier with significantly more muscle (at least 1" around the arms, and +500lbs on big 3 total).
Have been further considering TRT to fix my head… I think I can justify the $95/mo it would cost, I just don’t enjoy making choices with potentially life-long consequences.
Just TRT, but bloodwork panels will be $85 and I’m not sure how frequently - I imagine 1 at intake and 1 every 3 months after? Not sure. Either way, I only want the details pertinent to TRT hormones - not doing anything extra atm. Would consider therapeutic/AA HGH but I’m not there yet. Pricing & Booking (therestoreclinic.com)
I have to get my stuff prescribed for security clearance reasons, so no UGL for me. I’m okay with this; my clearance is what allows me to make the money I do.
Many of these clinics do try to pimp out other stuff. I believe that was the case for the T3 they put me on. Also, they started out with low dose adex (0.125 mg twice a week). The thing is those special low dose caps cost just as much as the full 1 mg tabs when you have them specially compounded.
I get my TRT through a local osteopathic doc who also does peptide healing, botox, ketamine and a bunch of other cosmetic/first world stuff. I pay cash but test is $130 for 10 weeks and extensive labs used to be done every 3 months but they moved me to 6 months now. They are able to send them to quest so insurance will pick that piece up. I saw the bill. Was almost $4k for the once a year everything lab. Usually half that for the others.
They must have changed their requirements or something - I looked at it months ago and it said the intake had to be in person but everything else could be telemed.
Looks like I’m finding a different clinic… If only there were some place in northern LA that offered services for people who wanted to improve their aesthetics /s/
4/14/22 - Random nonsense
Did some more shit training today. Solid workout, was very much still recovering from farmers carries 2 days ago though.
Kettlebell Swing, 45lb EMOM 4 mins
Horizontal pull, 3s iso
Horizontal push, 5s neg
Supenation Curls, (of course)
Low Bar Squats, (paused)
DB Lat Raises, 3s neg
Band pull apart, like a million
Going to try my shitty diet plan of eating all the lean protein I want and staying low carb.
Day 2 of shitty diet plan (counting yesterday because I was low-carb before making this decision):
compliance level is doing fine. I’ve finished a protein yogurt with granola and about 10oz of chicken, so I’m roughly 120g protein deep atm and hunger levels are doing fine. Will be slamming some bone-in pork chops soon and have ground beef ready to be cooked… will probably add in some long-grain rice to go with ground beef for dinner to help with sleep, but will be <50g carbs.
Stayed on diet over the weekend - stayed well under 100g carbs daily. Ate a shitload of protein and I’m trying to diversify protein sources; was only doing chicken and beef, now trying for chicken, beef and pork/fish daily. In hindsight, i think my shitty diet plan was/is very much aligned with Jon Anderson’s Deepwater diet… perhaps it was never that shitty a plan to start with
