The problem with the new Spiderman is, the guy looks like Justin fucking Beiber, no sign of muscle or masculinity at all.
From what I remember, he had SOME degree of muscle, but shit when I saw the trailer, I thought he was in need of a Kotex.
When Thor and Cap are played by 190lb guys, you need Spidey to be pretty skinny.
Name a really jacked guy who can act? You can either have a guy who can act who puts on a little weight like Bale in Batman, or HHH who wouldn’t be able to act as well as say a Hensworth or Downey. Also Cap is supposed to be 220 he’s more athletic looking than Thor or any of the big guns.

I don’t disagree with you at all. I was just pointing out that if Thor is not played by a mass monster, which he isn’t, then you can’t have a jacked guy playing Spidey because it would throw off the whole dynamic. To me, that justifies casting a “much-skinnier-than-he-was-drawn” Spiderman, because you’re not going to find a competent actor that will be anywhere near Thor’s size.
I’d rather have the right actor than have the actor be the right size, and I have no issue with any of the actors’ levels of muscular development. I think they’ve been cast perfectly.

The Plot – sucked balls … I think Transformers 3 wants the plot back. A portal on a building that lets aliens come to earth … been done
Loki’s Army – The whole kill a city with alien space ships that look/act strikingly like the ships from Transformers 3. Come on talk about repackage and sell something. What a let down.

Portals were the only way they could blow the Marvel cinematic universe wide open, from Dr. Strange to Guardians of the Galaxy. The aliens are from the comics and their role will become clearer in future movies. This also serves as a platform for the next set of movies.
[spoilers]
The ‘invasion’ is really nothing more than a scouting party. The Other tells Thanos “Humans…they were not the cowering wretches we were promised”. Loki told them Earth was an easy mark and his overconfidence dictated the scale of the attack…
The radiation from the Cosmic Cube, whatever powers the Chitauri weaponry, Stark’s Arc Reactor (which left him immune to Loki’s influence, and the larger one that powered Stark tower which somehow countered the Tesseract), Thor’s lightning (which boosted Iron Man’s armor) are all linked in some way.

Giant water slides would have been a fun, but inferior alternative means for extra-dimensional creatures to get to Earth.
Roy…you complete me. No homo.

This movie sucked… Compared to all the films leading up to this one. It was let down HUGE!
Good Characters … the banter and interaction was priceless

Definately a rental (which means dl in this day and age) 2/5 stars
People who cry about movies having similar plot points are extremely pathetic and stupid.
A army invading from another world is a common theme in these types of movies. Maybe you should just stop watching movies or reading all together since if you look hard enough you can always find a similar plot in another work.
It was an awesome movie. My expectations were fairly low to begin with though.
I don’t think we will see spiderman in avengers 2 as he is still property of Sony.

In Thor it looked like the infinity gauntlet was in the vault. I wonder how they plan on tackling that and if they are going to make Thanos a villain in each of the solo movies.

Was it just me or were Hemsworth and Evans smaller in this movie than in there individual ones? Looks like they both lost size.
I thought that in some shots, Hemsworth looked bigger.
Evans looked a bit smaller, though.
Man, this movie was awesome. Glad we shelled out for Imax 3d, too.

They dud a good job at giving Hemsworth huge arms so he looks really big.
Just got back from seeing the movie and besides the fat bitch that cut infront of us while we were waiting in line, my girlfriend and I loved the movie.
this question is for all the geeks out there. since there are pretty different variations of the marvel universes. isn’t this avenger movie more towards the ULTIMATE marvel universe? since nick fury is a bald black badass (nick fury is white in the normal marvel series, also badass though) and thor’s armor in the movie is pretty much the one in ULTIMATE marvel. (in the normal marvel series he’s much bigger and doesn’t have the facial hair and wears a helm)
the reboot of spider-man into a small gangly teen would actually be in line with the ultimate marvel series as in ULTIMATE SPIDER MAN, he is actually still in high school, and a small gangly kid. so i guess there’s a higher chance of the “new” spiderman to star in the avengers?
or am i just wishful thinking. ):
*as a marvel fanboy, id have loved it x9999 if hawkeye and black widow were replaced by wolverine and spiderman though. (they are all members of the avengers)
and wtf were all the other superheroes in america doing when the aliens attacked? i.e ghost rider, spiderman, the x-men,daredevil,punisher,fantastic 4. were they all chillin’ at home? lol

Wouldn’t it be hard to get Spiderman and Wolverine in the new Avengers movie since they are done by different movie studios?
I like these nuts here that said the movie was no good…it helps thosethat haven’t seen it from getting their hopes up too high.

Yeah it was in the treasure room along with the eye of oggamoto and a few other important magical items from the Marvel U. Thanos didn’t had to quest to get the infinity gems they had been scattered across the universe so maybe Odin scatters the gems in the next Thor film
Odin was bad ass, I missed him in this film.

Yeah, on another forum we were discussing how they could use that as a way to connect all the solo films to the avengers 2. Kind of like how nick fury was recruiting them for the avengers initiative.

How many more wolverine movies do we need? Come on, dude. Hawkeye and Widow have been Avengers since the 80’s.
