Could be that the problem and the solution are one in the same? I am guessing that those BU presses are pretty tough on the shoulders, in more ways than one.

Greg reckons overuse, which fits with the stupid volume of pushups I did that kicked this off.
@Cyrrex maybe, maybe not. I didn’t start doing them until after this started.
It’s some bullshit in my upper pec somewhere near the armpit. Stiffens up overnight, some movement opens it up pretty quick. By the time I get home from work it’s nothing but a weird pulling in my bicep.
Probably a good idea to give it some rest at this point, minus the stuff necessary to get it somewhat loose and functioning
Possibly. Probably. Deload week after next, should be fine till then.
Also, the less I move it the worse it hurts. So while stuff like benching hurts during it feels pretty good after.
What I will do is only bench during deload, no pushups. That’ll be a bit if extra backoff.
Oh stopping movement would be wrong for sure! I should have been more specific: It’s time to lay off anything remotely challenging for the time being. Don’t stress, but move the area.
A good exercise to strengthen all those little “posture muscles” in the rear delts, upper back and lower traps are “swimmers”. Great warm up for bench too.
I do it similiarely to the explanation here but with a 1,25 kg plate which is plenty for this!

Woke at 255.3 lbs, looking similar to yesterday. Shoulder and bicep feeling the best they have on waking in a long time.

Left shoulder and bicep felt almost normal all day, we’ll find out how long that lasts.
Woke at 253.5 lbs, looking less bloated. Slept well and a little more. Shoulder still feels pretty good, second night/morning in a row the pain hasn’t woken me up and I haven’t had to loosen it up on waking. Coincidentally, the last two nights I took a couple of NSAIDs before bed so that could indicate that there was/is some inflammation that needed dealing with.
Like I said a week ago, massage, Ice and anti inflammatorys. Sounds like it’s getting a little better. Good

Yer sure, as long as you get better mate. Putting a cold stubby in it whilst you kick back also counts as icing !!
