Is the issue finding the time or the motivation?
Neither. I went to the car, got my bands and did two rounds of
25 each band pull aparts, band hammer curls, band good mornings and lying leg raises
Took maybe 10 minutes, probably less
So time isn’t an issue. I thought it would take longer. Since time isn’t an issue, there isn’t an issue.
sometimes the issue can be about whether we see, understand or feel the need to do the extra. Only way to know if its worth it will be to do it and monitor the results.
Look, it’s like any change to training that’s working. I don’t want it! Until I do it and it’s fine. I was pissed when Greg moved us all onto the same schedule. It’s worked well. He will never push us towards something that isn’t necessary.
Honestly, I was mostly concerned about taking extra time for training. I figured it would take something like 20 minutes or more. This took no time at all.

Greg seems to know what he is doing, and you know it.
Depending on how hard these extras are, I would be concerned about recovery, but that doesn’t look to bad.
Keep digging Mark, I can’t wait to see the result next time you go to the platform.
It’s pretty fucked but we’ve had worse. The smoke is bad though. It’s the worst Canberra has had in over 30 years. I can only imagine what it’s like on the front line.

Woke at 264.1 lbs, looking a bit less bloated. Last couple of weeks of work have definitely caught up with me, I’m tired AF. A couple of sleeps will fix that though, plus I’m off work until January sixth.
@mortdk @dagill2 meet day is February 23rd. So peak starts January 20th.

Woke at 265.2 lbs, looking similar to yesterday. It’s much cooler today too, which is great for when I do sprints.

Added the eighth because it was time. Averaged around 75 per cent or so. Breathing normalises faster after now as well.

I also quite like working on being fast off the line (which I will qualify, fast for me. I think my time is around five seconds per sprint). I have no idea if that has carryover to my lifts, but the sprint then walk back is very similar in feeling to how I do my sets.
I’d think it’s more the other away around. Squats and deadlifts will improve your sprints.
