Good stuff Mark, great info.

Woke at 256.6 lbs, looking much the same. Also hungry.

@j4gga2 I absolutely would recommend it. It’s 30 USD I think. You can run it whenever you want to add some mass and take the intensity down. Some of our guys have run it back to back with a deload in between.

Felt pretty drained today. I think a week of shitty sleep caught up with me. By the time I was getting ready to train I was half asleep so I canned it.

Not like you, but I’m going to say wise decision

Probably. Thought I was getting a sore throat last night but woke up ok, then it feels like it’s coming back this evening. That’s usually a sign I’m run down.

Just read my last post back and realised it could have been misread as I was thinking you are not wise!! Glad you didn’t read it that way :joy:

You’ve grown, Mark. It seems like it wasn’t very long ago that you would’ve powered through a workout.

Yup, Mark you’ve becoming even wiser… Next thing you’ll be coaching

I get the exact shit when run down, usually sleep and bloody work, be careful, I’ve found it s knife edge on whether the lurgie takes hold.

I think many people would pay for that.

Woke at 256.8 lbs, less bloated than usual because I slept for fucking ages. The alarm went off and I knew I was still buggered to I decided to stay home. Feeling much better for that.

@Frank_C you may be right. I’m just learning is all. For example, being able to react appropriately between being tired and can’t function. A while back missing a session would play on my mind, now it’s just something I have to do periodically.

@mortdk @dagill2 you are very kind but I need more experience before I would be comfortable taking responsibility for someone’s training. The programming part is pretty simple and I could do reasonably. Being able to pick elements of technique is much harder. I can see obvious flaws, but not much else.

@I_Luc tell me about it. I think I may have dodged a bullet here.

Really glad I stayed home. I’m still tired but starting to feel around normal. Bar anything changing drastically I’ll train tomorrow through Friday and if I’m feeling ok I may also train Saturday but I won’t be upset if I don’t.

Then one more week of this hypertrophy bullshit and I can deload.

You might bite the bullet Mark, get your head down. Only one more week to build muscles, then you can deload.

A bullet is definitely getting bitten @mortdk

Today did me the world of good. Going to have an early night and then back to normal.

Woke at 258.4 lbs, looking similar. Feeling more normal too.

Spoke too soon. Feel like I’ve been run over by a truck and I haven’t even been doing anything strenuous at work.

Ok, new plan.

I’ll finish this week as is. So tomorrow deadlift and then the bullshit bodyweight Friday. Next week as normal, then then week after bench and squat to round out hypertrophy. Or something. I may even drop back to three days a week until hypertrophy is done. Depends how I pull up.

Woke at 257.3 lbs, looking bloated. That’s the toasted ham and cheese for dinner last night. Feeling ok now, so I’ll see how that progresses over the day

So far so good. Unloaded a truck of office chairs in the cold and I’m feeling fine.
