Just throwing some shit out there - pre biotics with pro-biotics?

I take Inulin on occasion to trigger pro biotics.

I might, but I didn’t take any antibiotics so I’m hoping my gut flora is pretty ok. I think it’s just an irritated gut and it isn’t like I place normal demands on it. Even eating half of what I was normally I didn’t really lose much weight. Usually if you’ve got a crook gut I think it’s recommended to eat relatively little. My little isn’t that little.

@mortdk fucking tell me about it! I’m walking around constantly reminding myself that I’m not going to puke, it just feels like that.

I’m excited for nationals but I also really, really want it to be over so I can regroup. The biggest hurdle is the confidence. I’m happy with my squat. I’ll do ok. Bench this week knocked the wind out of me, and I’m honestly dreading deadlifts later today.

Go to nationals do a great squat, you know you can do that.

Then do something different for bench, a quite high first attempt, then a second attempt you know you can do, that is close to you contest PR. If you’re great with that go for a small PR on third otherwise shut it down and focus on that DL.
That would leave you room to concentrate on the other two, and if it’s a stellar day bench will go down as well.

Todays training

3x10 bracing hip thrusts

10x10 seconds bracing 90/90

DL, DL bar
5xplate/154 lbs
3x2 plates/242 lbs - belt on
2x3 plates/352 lbs - still double overhand for the first rep and all fine
1x4 plates/462 lbs - yeah, ok, moved well enough
1x539 lbs - yeah not so ok, felt around the same as last week’s 517 lbs
0x583 lbs - up to knees and that was it.

I’m dumb, but I’m not stupid.

Got the fuck out.

Waiting to hear on what Greg’s instructions are going forward.

Bloody oath it is. I’m three peanut butter crumpets down and don’t feel sick.

Had a bit of a lightbulb moment too, about my situation and the meet.

I wont quit, that’s established. Except not quitting doesn’t mean I won’t fail, it just means I’ll keep going whether I fail or not. Which is kind of liberating.

Nothing like a good crumpet and a light bulk moment to set you back on track. Accept that what is, is. Do the best you can on the day (which we all know is guaranteed with you) and enjoy life.
