I know it probably is way different for us and probably other people as well but I recently arrived at Mark’s target weight and still wish I could eat a lot more than I do.
I guess my metabolsim isn’t as fast as that of seemingly half the population nowadays. Not a jab at you guys just something I see in insta and everywhere that gets in my nerves.
Damn straight. I’ve also been off antidepressants for over a week now and no random rage surges and no negative thoughts either. That’s mostly not hating work, but yeah, I’m stoked.
This is actually pretty common - meds help you take action to get your life back on track, but shouldn’t really be for life (at least that what I read).
How do you feel with the extra fluff?
About 5 years ago, at my strongest by far I was nudging 120kg on occasion, but fuck it was hard work, was still doing lots of sled drags etc but just felt unfit.
I like my strength levels. Energy wise I’m OK too. I’m usually tired AF anyway, I was when I was lean and I am when I’m not so it doesn’t make much of a difference. I can do what I need to, and moving around isn’t hard so yeah, no issues.
Bodyweight reverse hypers, 45 degree back raises, planks, jumps
DL, stiff bar
3xplate/154 lbs (used the 55 lbs plates)
3x2 plates/264 lbs
1x3 plates/374 lbs - double overhand, only just
1x440 lbs - belt on, mixed grip from here
3x1x506 lbs
3x506 lbs - there was room for a fair few more reps
Pendlay row
2x5x220 lbs
DB goblet squat
2x10x88 lbs
GHR
4x10 at bodyweight - Ultra has a cheap shitty Force USA GHR that hits my hams a gazillion times better than the Elite FTS one at elite
I set up same as I do to BB row (so grip is same as for bench, an inch or so in from the rings), keep my trunk as parallel to the floor as I can and row into my chest.
@mortdk I wouldn’t go so far as playing. Maybe four or five more reps, tops. Thanks though.
Todays training
Bodyweight reverse hypers, air squats, planks
Wide stance squat (feet two inches further out)
10ishxbar
10ishxplate/148 lbs
2x15x231 lbs - kind of cool. Breathing a bit heavily by the end but not hard. Managed to keep my shins vertical
Air squats
2x25
45 degree back raises
50 total reps: 30, 20
BB rows
6x176 lbs
6x198 lbs
6x220 lbs
6x242 lbs
Pull-ups
11 wide neutral - big deal for me. First time going double figures. Body composition is probably not so terrible
6 wide overhand - figure they’ve been building my pull-ups
