For now, yes. I want my 700/400/700 before I’m 40 and that’s my focus. Once I get it I’ll see where I go.

They’ll do as a starting point. From what I’ve seen, they’re numbers that are at the very least respectable for the weight I think I’ll need to be to get them. They’re also what I’m confident I can achieve.
Once I get there things get more interesting. I may decide to move into equipped to get 800/500/800, but that needs a team and the only team in Canberra is a team of fuckwits. There’s one lady who competes geared though, so I’d probably ask her if I could train with her. She’s pretty damn good.

You’d probably hate me after a short time. I’d be constantly trying to pull you back in and harping on about the long game and niggling about technique. I’m a very boring person to train with because I never go off plan or do ‘fun’ stuff. I’m also annoying if I have respect for you (@losthog you fit in that category) because I’ll give you honest advice and call you out on errors.

Squat, walked out (trained in the evening for once, mono in use)
5xbar
5xplate/143 lbs
2x2 plates/231 lbs

Work sets with 10 second rests, except between 12 and five which was 30 seconds because the bar slipped and I had to rack. Took three minutes in total: a minute for 5x2, a minute for 12 and then a minute of rack, unrack and then five.
Paused squat, first paused for a two count then normal reps

Need to watch my chin tuck and eyes up. When I’m tired, I lift my chin.
