Yes, I heard rack pulls take away legs and make the back work. Louie said it, it “feels” like it’s true so I count it.
But where did your leg drive come from? More focus on tight lats? Do light sets with no rest help refine technique? Was it the jumps? Either way, it’s cool that you found it. It’s also interesting that jumps and rack pulls “feel” different and more useful now.
What else that was not great in the past could be better now?

Woke at 214.3 lbs, looking good. This is despite going well over budget at dinner. So, confused. Sleep wasn’t great again. Apparently I wasn’t beat enough to sleep through and kept waking up.
@Destrength we peak five weeks out from meets.
@FlatsFarmer the leg drive comes from the jump into the pull cue, especially the move from toes to heel part. That makes me think so much more about moving rather than sitting back which I used to do. What was not great? Bench setup, bench training, squat setup. Also DL training. And back training.

Woke at 214.3 lbs. Looking leaner than I have in a while, but flat which I don’t like. This is after hitting close to 500 grams of carbs yesterday and going around 600 cal over budget. I’m going to tweak my calories today.
I also feel like complete shit, mentally. I have no patience, I feel drained and essentially like I’m in survival mode. I can function physically, and pretty well given training is going well, but my fuse is super short and I feel detached from pretty much everything.
OK, diet. Let’s say I’m around 15% bodyfat (I don’t actually care about the number, but I need to estimate my LBM). Let’s also say I’m sitting around 215 lbs on the scale. That means my LBM is around 183 lbs.
That gives my maintenance calorie window as 2550-3100 cal/day. Guess what my new budget is? That’s right, 3100 cal/day.

I think I know what it is. For one reason or another I’ve had pretty terrible sleep for around three weeks (sleep maybe four hours, then wake every hour until I get up). The mental fatigue has just built and built until my ability to override it is all but gone. I can perform physically - otherwise training would be going badly - but I’m basically a walking a-hole at the moment. I’ve got a relatively short fuse at the best of times, but I can control it. The last week pretty much anything makes me want to explode, and that includes at home which is a real red flag for me. Right now I’ve got an opportunity to get a weekend of empty house and sleep, which I’m going to take. Mrs KO isn’t happy, and nor is munchkin, because we’re meant to go visit a cousin for her baby shower. I actually don’t want to miss it because I know they want me there, but I also know there’s a high possibility that I’ll just be a royal pain to be around.

Just got up for attempt two at today. Slept an extra four or five hours, and I feel better. I’ll grab some low level sedative later to knock me the hell out overnight too, because I don’t plan on being awake past around eight pm.
I think today is to involve a bakery, some kind of meat, the dog park and more sleep.
