MarkKO's Training Log

I feel like I’ve asked you this before lol. But I’m not sure lol

Nor am I. I used to do more OT but I got sick of effectively living at work.

I feel like it would cut into your sleeping time too.

That too. It cuts into everything.

Haven’t been around for a while. How’s the training going and how’s life treating you?

Today’s training

Lazy lifter plus shoulders

Bench press

TM is 220 lbs

Work up from bar in 22 lbs x3-5 to 60%, 20 pull aparts between sets

Yesterday definitely had an impact. I’ll bench Monday next week to hit it fresh.

3x154 lbs, under 6 RPE
3x176 lbs, under 6 RPE
1x198 lbs, 6 RPE
6x220 lbs, 9 RPE
5x220 lbs, 9 RPE
4x220 lbs, 9 RPE

No point in failing while trying to get a rep PR, but I wanted more than just one top set.

Include press 2x7x154 lbs, 1x6x154 lbs all around 8 RPE

Supersetted single arm DB press/strict BB rows
3x10x40 lbs press
3x15x154 lbs rows

Pail Carter rope lat pull-downs
3x15x66 lbs, short rests

Bis/tris giant set
BB curls 3x15x50 lbs
BB JM ish press 3x20x50 lbs

I’ll do bike sprints tomorrow.

Yes all good here, family are well but work has been tough. Settling down now so time to get back to training.

MarkKO the type of guy to count his macros instead of sheep before bed.

Also cute pup.

Woke at 187.7 but looking decent, even a bit dry. I did eat around a pound of Brussels sprouts yesterday (delicious AF), so I think that accounts for it.

It’s mostly the briefs @AliveAgain36 they make them pop

Went in to do weighted calves and the bike sprints I missed yesterday.

Today’s training

Lazy lifter

DC seated calf raises 11x99 lbs

Leg press single leg calf raises 4x30x176 lbs/leg - last set rest/pause

Standing calf raise drop set from 200 lbs to 20 lbs in 20 lbs drops, dropping at failure

Calves essentially numb by now.

Stationary bike sprints 10 x 35 sec off/25 sec on at level 15 - kept pace well again, and somehow even managed a higher intensity than last week.
