Or maybe even the cartilage that sticks your knee cap to the patella. Ever since I screwed up my miniscus diving into a tire (long story), my right knee pops waaaaaaay more frequently than my left.
Woke at 185 lbs, looking normal.
It’s a terrible thing to say, but I’m hanging for Monday to get back into it. The light pre-meet week and the no-barbell post-meet week have obviously done me good but FUCK!
Knowing I’m heading into a low TM rep fest only makes me more impatient.
I keep forgetting it’s like high noon where you are at this moment. Lol
Time to get back on the bodyweight calf raises. Given I’m progressing the DC ones, um going to do the same on bodyweight
1x120 neutral feet on a half inch edge
4x30/leg flat footed
Four pm when you posted that
See? Still off by some hours lol
Woke at 185 lbs again, looking normal. Hunger has been noticeably increased last two days.
Shaved my top half. Holy hell, that makes a difference. A good half - or more - of the negative changes I was seeing this last month disappeared. So yeah, body hair.
This is Patrick Morrison. To me, he’s one of the most impressive PLers around. He competes at 181 usually
Does he live where you live too?
No, he’s based in South Australia I think.
Bodyweight valf raises
1x120 fast up, slow eccentric, toes neutral
Right after
4x30/leg contrast sets, 10 slow up and down, 20 normal tempo
I’m beginning to see the flaws in my perception of Power Lifters.
I go to a commercial gym that has a lot of great people from all walks of life who train for a variety of reasons. It’s a friendly place, but not stupid like Planet Fitness. The small handful of people who train for power lifting are small. I’ve stumbled across a couple guys who are probably 5’ 8" to 5’ 10" and 180 lbs with about 15-20% body fat. There’s one little Asian dude who busts his ass, but there aren’t any big guys training.
The only power lifters I see are the ones who make headlines breaking records. They’re usually very large individuals, barrel chested and all.
I’ve only seen a small portion of the population until recently. Sorry if I offended any of you power lifters with my ignorance!
Never offended me, so don’t worry.
Woke at 185.9 lbs, looking normal.
Pat is a great dude! Strong as fuck and built like a brick shit house
Bodyweight calf raises
1x120 on stairs, slow eccentric, stretch, explode up and squeeze
4x30/leg flat footed no heel touch
what happened to you? You used to be a powerlifter, now you’re all sick abs and calf raises.
For shame.
It’s more fun being not fat. Simple.
Got the idea from one of the strong guys at my gym. Then it hit me all the PLers under 308 lbs are kind of jacked and lean.
