A United States Marine was attending some college
courses between assignments.
He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.
One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, “God, if you are real,
then I want you to knock me off this platform. I’ll give you exactly 15 minutes.”
The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, “Here I am God. I’m still waiting.”
It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him knocking him off the platform.
The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.
The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at
the Marine and asked, “What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?”
The Marine calmly replied, “God was too busy today protecting America’s troops who are protecting your right to say stupid shit
and act like an ass hole. So, He sent me.”
So a trained elite soldier attacked a probably untrained civilian whose right of Free Speech he has sworn to protect, dishonoring his oath, himself and his corps in the process.
Why post this, this is a case for a military tribunal.
Unless he literally believes to receive missions from God, then he is a violent schizophrenic and a case for psychiatric treatment.
It’s a joke guys. Relax. An obnoxious professor gets owned by a Marine. It’s not a religious commentary, it’s a commentary on two mentalities in juxtaposition. It can also be considered a commentary on professors using their positions to spread their agenda instead of just teaching. Didn’t any of you guys have a professor you really wanted to duke it out with?

thank god someone has sanity on this thread.
I can’t believe so many people have a problem even if this was real life.
Just because you don’t “recieve messages” from god about missions doesn’t mean you can’t act on his behalf anyways if it’s your belief.

I love it when people use their religion as an excuse to hit people, or in some instances kill them. Makes me all warm and bubbly inside.
No offense meant to you CD, but I just have a problem with religous violence of all kinds.[/quote]

Sure did. One of them died of natural causes a few years ago.

Hell yes, several professors went out of their way to extend their agenda on our class.

Oh, don’t worry, the Jarhead hit the professor for being a dick. That’s what Jarheads do.
