Should be interesting, I feel like any of the 1 or 2 seeds has a very good shot to win it, and I really like Xavier and Pittsburgh to go deep.
Any predictions or thoughts?

I feel like a retard asking this, 'cuz I should know, as I used to work at a broadcast television station, and March Madness was one of the busiest times of the year for me, in my job…
…but doess March Madness involve SEC or ACC, or both?
Did the tornado in Atlanta Friday night affect anything? (the Georgia Dome was hit.)

No prob. March Madness is the entire tournament…yeah it involves both those conferences, there’s pretty good representation from both.
The tornado made a couple games get moved over to the Georgia Tech campus, so UGA had to play two games in one day (and won both).
UNC
Boy, you guys are really going out limbs here with any 1 or 2 seed and UNC. I don’t think there’s been a year since maybe '91 where you couldn’t say the same thing about the 1-2 seeds.
I like So. Alabama for the Sweet 16. I think Louisville can go deep. Pittsburgh is an interesting team to watch. Arizona will fall to WVU, which is good because UA doesn’t belong this year at 18-14. I like K State. I’m not sure about G-town. They’re a 2 seed thanks to a lot of referees. I think Arkansas-UNC is an intriguing 2nd round game and could be one of the best. Greg Paulus has yet to show he can handle the pressure, so I’m not sure Duke will go deep. I like Winthrop for the Sweet 16. This also looks like a classic 12 v 5 year with a lot of opportunity for upsets there.
My final four right now (which could change): Memphis, Kansas, UConn and UNC, with UNC over Memphis in the finals (boring).
DB
i hear you DB, i just don’t see anyone beating UNC.
i have san diego going two rounds and butler three. those are my big ones. butler is vastly underrated. my hoosiers got fucked over with the 8 seed at 25-7. what the hell.

I don’t Memphis is going to make it to the championship game for the simple fact that they are a horrible free throw shooting team. I think they are going to encounter a close game that comes down to free throw shooting, and the 54% FT shooting team they are will go down, just like in the Tennessee loss.
I’m not discounting Memphis in any way, they are a good team, but if it comes down to the last couple of minutes, they might not be sitting pretty.
Speaking of Memphis, is Joey Dorsey a freakin monster or what? He’s built like Dwight Howard with those broad shoulders, hate to come across him in the lane.
Which first-round game are you most looking forward to watching? I’m excited for the USC-Kansas State game. Mayo v. Beasley, two stud freshmen. Beasley is a much better player, but USC is a better, and I think will beat the Wildcats.
The Razorbacks…
Will lose in the first round.
Basketball sucks:
My turn to score - now your turn to score - now my turn to score - now your turn to score - oh shit! there’s only 2 minutes left in the game, let’s foul each other and have a free throw competition - yay! I had the ball last and we won by 1 point! - we so kicked your ass.
The only thing I can say for basketball is, well, at least it isn’t soccer.

have to disagree…in my mind it’s a near-lock that usc will blow it. they are overrated and mayo isn’t quite as good as everyone thinks.
teams that i think got seeded too low:
san diego
st. mary’s (absolutely will beat miami)
indiana
butler
teams that i think got seeded too high:
usc
louisville
unlv
oregon (didn’t deserve to get in)
arizona (didn’t deserve to get in)
villanova (didn’t deserve to get in)

Fair enough. I thought the same thing about OJ at first also, but he is averaging over 20 a game, and I honestly expected him to be what Michael Beasley is this year for college BB. Either way, he’s all but outta here after this year. But yeah, I’ll agree he hasn’t lived up to the hype he had coming in.
I think VA Tech should have gotten in over Arizona.
And yeah I agree with you on St. Mary’s.
can’t wait for the madness to begin on Thurs. And with the conclusion of this NBA season (!) also on deck, you can’t really ask for more in my book.

LOL, good post.
tmoney i agree about vatech over arizona. i don’t like the whole “one of our good players got hurt, that’s why we lost” arguments…you still lost.
I got USC over K-State. I know I’m the only one. And I guess Kansas is the new hot pick to win it all?

Yeah I agree with you, but on a side note, I don’t like the way the VA Tech coach was like ‘anyone who thinks we don’t belong in the NCAA Tournament is insane’ or something along those lines. You can only point the finger at yourself, don’t blame everyone but yourself and your team. But yeah you’re right, you still lost.
Herb Sendek from Arizona State took the classy route and blamed himself and the team for early season losses.

Nope. I got USC also. Beasley will probably score more points than Mayo, but as a team, I think USC is stronger and will pull it out. Either way, I think they are both gonna head out to the NBA after this year.
Don’t mean to hijack, but doesn’t that sound like an unappealing food combination? OJ Mayo? lol.
My Final Four:
UNC
UCLA
Kansas
Texas
Championship game:
UNC/UCLA
Champion:
UNC 89-81
what does everyone else have?
USD knocks off UCONN in OT!
(I know I know, not the biggest upset we’ll see but my younger sister did get an advanced degree from USD and that’s good enough for me)
