Thanks Simo, that is actually one observation that I’ve had over the past couple of weeks. I have just been feeling strong in general. I know that is a very vague observation, but even just walking around doing non-workout activities I’m feeling stronger. I’m going to guess that is what going from 2 workouts per week to 4 workouts per week has done for me. Just more physically active.

Thanks Pwn, things are still plugging along as planned. A couple more workouts for my 5’s week this week, then into my 1’s next week.

I finally relocated my extra baseboard storage that was blocking a lot of the lighting in my weight room. So I think my instant back gains came from the more favourable lighting, but I’ll absolutely take the compliment, haha. I appreciate it!

I did not feel like working out tonight, so I figured this was a perfect opportunity to finally try ā€œGraceā€ (135lb x 30 reps of clean and press).

I thought I hit a 15rep set, rest, 5reps, rest, 5reps, rest, 5reps. After video review, my first set only made it to 13…counting is hard.

I’m pleased with my performance even though I failed to complete the required reps!

I am still hoping to drop a little fat before June, but have been eating to support my increased training over the last five weeks and not concerning myself with weight loss at the moment (says everyone who is too fat, haha). Lots of room to add some cardio and drop cals a bit as we get closer if I feel the need.

The 260lbs moved a lot smoother than I was anticipating. There was heavy deliberation about hitting another rep with some added weight but I decided to just settle for the 5lb PR (Previous 255lb PR was from Jan 2017).

I’ve just been going through the motions with these split squats recently. Today I controlled each rep a lot better and really pumped up my quads to the point where my quads were going to be the limiting factor of my plank!

What is going on here!? You take like a year off from consistent training, come back for a few months and crush lifetime PRs. You defy the norms. Pwn must be rubbing off.

Haha, I’m doing what I can!

Now that you put it this way, it reminds me of my fellow high school football teammates who would voice their frustration with me after I would come back to school in September (after not working out all/most of the summer) stronger than when I left.
Pwn has absolutely been a big influence on me jumping back into the iron game with both feet.

@alex_uk, thanks! I tend to start my workouts in track pants/hoodie and as the workout goes on, I become more and more naked! I appreciate it!

A long day today. Slipped down to the weight room for a quick workout to get the blood flowing and burn some calories before heading to bed.

100cal AirDyne (9m19s) ← This was actually a pretty decent pace for me.

Triceps Rope Pushdowns 50lbs x 20, 20, 20

Not much, but it was something. I don’t feel like I’ve eaten much today, but I’m fairly bloated and not hungry. I’m about to mix some Greek yogurt with some protein/PB2 for a little pre-bed meal. I need to make sure I’m well fed for deadlifts tomorrow.

I like to toss in an avocado as well. It mashes/creams well with the mix.

I’m currently playing the waiting game on my avocados at the moment. I had one over the past two days, but they were are not quite ripe enough. This is why I’ve been sticking with guacamole for the most part, as this seems to be my experience with avocados.
