That’s my cutting strategy to a T, haha. No breakfast. Gets easier and easier as the days go on. Would just drink some green tea in the mornings.
The more simple, the more likely I am to adhere to it. Skipping breakfast makes my morning routine easier, reduces overall calories consumed and has allowed me to not be 10mins late for work each morning! (jk…kind of)
And coffee/green tea fills my mornings as well!
But it’s really hard to have my protein pancakes unless I make them for breakfast. They just don’t travel well or taste the same if I pack them for lunch. And I usually try to limit carbs at dinner time b/c I’ve already trained and don’t need them…
Damn this confusing nutrition… I understand why people cheat and take PEDs long before they max out their natural potential. PEDs can allow you to eat like an ass and still look good. It’s cheating, but I kind of get it. I mean, who doesn’t want to eat a stuffed crust meatlovers pizza and still have a six pack?
Frank’s is good.
Sacrifices must be made!
Post workout carbs are a thing too! This is when I eat my gummy bears. ![]()

I think six hours after the session is a bit too long to call them post-workout carbs. I mean, it is technically after the workout, but we all know what that’s supposed to mean.
5th Set Squat Meso 2/Micro 3 - worth noting that this is sadly the longest I’ve stuck to a single program since 5/3/1 and even then I was jumping around templates like a wild man.

Went in with a rep goal of 10, and got it. Not easy, and even risky at time since I had an upset stomach, but managed to keep everything inside. Win.

Weighed in this morning at 217.8-219.4lbs. I wanted to double check the first reading of 217.8lbs, and never saw it again
. The most consistent reading seemed to be at 218.8lbs. A drop is coming though, feeling and looking a little leaner this morning. Might need to update some measurements soon to see how I’m progressing.
I just stumbled onto the author of the book you tried to send me. I’ll wait through the day to see if it shows up in my email later. That’s happened before. Anyway, I couldn’t help but wonder if he was Natty or not. Peds would definitely make it easier to get shredded and sell your books and products. The thing that actually stands out to me are his delts. I haven’t known a single person who is natural that can have a side capped delt.
I hate that the thought even comes into my mind when I see someone with the great physique, but there it is. For example, I think the guy is smaller than you and some of the guys around here with big overhead press numbers. However, their delts stand out more than yours. That’s not a knock against you guys; it’s a sign of PED use.
Anyway, just some skepticism on my side. I still don’t think it takes away from his physique. Obviously, it’s a little easier to get shredded with some pharmaceutical help, but you still can’t eat like a slob.
It is coming all the way from Canada! I just saved the file as a reduced sized PDF (from 13MB to 8MB) so hopefully it will come through this time.
You just wait until I lean out! Delts will be poppin’.
Speaking of PEDs and that jazz, I just received my blood work results. Total test is at 11.3 nmol/L (326ng/dL) which is definitely on the low side. That is a pretty significant drop from 1.5years ago when I was 21.3nmol/L (614ng/dL). I know total T doesn’t tell the whole story, but it appears I’m getting old.
Dang, that is low. But are you feeling any worse?
And I received the PDF. ![]()
And I’ve seen you fairly lean. You’re big, but you’re more rounded like most people - just bigger.
You know the look you which I’m referring. It’s really popular in the crowd of Meatheads who take steroids but still eat like crap and party.
I’m a little hungry in the morning, but it is quite manageable. As Flap also mentioned above, coffee/green tea seem to keep hunger at bay during the morning hours. 11am hits and I need to distract myself a bit to get to noon for meal # 1. Then I get to have a bit of an all-you-can-eat buffet (on healthy food; today was chicken drumsticks, broccoli, banana, greek yogurt, cheese string, and cantaloupe). Then I have my protein snack when I get home from work (430-5pm: typically consists of 2 scoops of protein and/or some cottage cheese or more greek yogurt) and then a late dinner meal after we put our son to bed (usually falling around 730-8pm; which is a main protein source with fruit/veggies or an omelette).
Yeah, kind of just kidding about the delts, shoulders have never been my strong suit, but they do always appear bigger after I lean down.
Edit:
Just realized you were responding to my testosterone level, not my low calories. Doh!
Nah, I feel fine. Under some decent stress these days, so my baseline is a little off, but I may get some follow up blood work done to look at my full hormone panel if doc is willing to sign off on it.
Free test is where it’s at from what I understand. As long as you don’t have any negative symptoms, why even care about it at all? Don’t get me wrong, t’s good to have it checked out just in case. Is that part of your standard blood work or did you get it done specifically?
Yep! I go in for annual bloodwork just to keep tabs on things. It is basically the only time I go to the docs, so I figure annual bloodwork will toss up a red flag if something is wrong.
I’m not looking for anything beyond that, just made the comment on Test because the results just came in and JM was talking about PEDs.
I just watched The Rock in Hobbs & Shaw and I’m convinced that I need to take drugs. ![]()
Hey Little great work and keep it up!!
Low T can cause long term issues even when you’re not experiencing symptoms (bone density and other fun stuff), and that drop off is significant over the course of a year. If you’re thinking there’s some external factors at play in those levels then worth addressing them (if they’re in your control) and retesting, wouldn’t be good if those levels kept dropping (or didn’t come back up at least a bit!)
Or just get a few more tests at present and get on the test! (Just think of all the tasty extra food you could eat!)
#drugpushing…
Watched the tooth fairy a while back with the kids, couldn’t believe how much he’s gained over the last 10 years!
You don’t notice it until you see something from the past. It’s also a good reminder of how slow the process is…even if drugs are involved.
Yea definitely decades of consistent, meticulous work!
