Yep, gloves helped for sure and good quick reaction of my cousin to pull back after I let out a holler. 1 more second pushing 25 tonnes into my hand would have surely crushed a lot of bones in there.

Haha, this actually happened! My cousin felt so bad, but I was apologizing to him for having my hand in the wrong spot. Then was sorry I couldn’t keep helping them, as there was still plenty left to do!

YES, big time. In the split second the pressure was building on my hand I thought that my hand was going to be done. Very thankful my cousin was as reactive as he was on the lever
beer in hand and all.

Squats were feeling pretty strong tonight. My squat goals for this meet were to hit a 500+lb squat, it looks like that shouldn’t be a problem as long as I stay healthy.

Thanks Lee! Hand is feeling better each day. Still some localized swelling, I keep forgetting I can’t crack my knuckles on that hand (without pain), but otherwise I’d say it is at 75%. Benching tonight so we will see how that feels on the hand!

Food picture time!

Rice noodles, three cheese Alfredo sauce, chicken breast.

6 eggs scrambled with chicken broth and sriracha, and spinach.

Homemade flatbread pizza with peppers and pepperoni.

A pretty typical snack for me: 1cup granola, 1cup Greek yogurt and a banana. Sometimes a scoop of protein mixed in.

Egg noodles, ground beef and fresh kale from the garden.
