What does anyone think after reading the story. I think the man may have been in the wrong. I mean she did want it and she let him in. He shouldve maybe put the bf out of his house. Thats why I go armed when I go over a womans house
How old was this kid, if the consent laws come into affect here (which I hate) and the father lives in the right state he could have been stopping a crime in action which we could possibly get the charges dropped because of.

He was 18. If I was in his position, I wouldve shot the father in self defense. I know the father wouldve been mad, but his daughter did consent. Now I would have just tried to leave peacefully and go to my car, but if he wouldve want to take it to a violent level, i wouldve got violent with him.
Sixteen in a lot of states is legal, as far as age of consent goes. The man just needs to face the fact that his daughter is not the virgin Mary and is going to have sex. My sister is 16, but if she did have sex (I dont know if she is or isnt) I wouldnt go shoot the guy. Its a natural thing. As long as the guy isnt beating her up, I feel that her love relationships are her business. Like I said as long as he isnt beating her ass, it isnt my business.
But lets say the 18 y/o had a gun on him, he certainly wouldve been justified in shooting his girlfriends father in self defense, which I surely wouldve did.

What’s with all these young punks just going around claiming there going to shot somebody? You are in the man’s house uninvited, you shouldn’t have been in there in the first place, doesn’t matter if the age of consent is 18 years old, the house is his, he makes the rules.

I agree largely with this.

Thats true, but he can ask you to get out first, now if the guy refuses to leave, that changes everything. The fact is, he was invited in by a resident of the home, he wasnt a burglar. Now if the 18 y/o had a weapon and fired back and lets say he even killed the father, I feel he wouldve been totally right, even though he killed the man in his own house. The 18 y/o wasnt a threat to anyone, he clearly wasnt an intruder, it was just a fact of the man getting mad.
Like I said, I carry. If I was in the same position as the 18 y/o, all the father would have to do would ask me to leave and I would. But if he wants to go get a gun and I already have one with me, Im not going to let him make it to his. Its self defense he escalated it to a level of violence.
If the 18 y/o broke in it would be a different story, but he was invited in by the daughter which doesnt make him an intruder.
