Man Kills Dog

Matty, you have essentially summed up my impression of this entire thread. My dog might be a naughty dick here and there, but he’s not capable of being an ignorant asshole like so many of those who have commented here.
I’m hanging out with my useless flea bags right now lol

oh poor guy he must have had such a hard time choosing to put drugs in his body then getting hooked, I mean who could ever have seen it coming?

sure he over reacted just a little that’s why he repeatedly beat the puppy and slammed it into a wall, happens all the time

I have met them also and I agree with you Legendaryblaze.

Instead of feeling compassion for our fellow human who is possibly struggling to overcome addiction and raise a child or just overreacted to a situation with an animal, “pet people” condemn him and call jihad on all who don’t share their religious belief on the value of pet animals.

How different does that make them from religious fundamentalists?

I have actually had American children tell me, at least one of their parents, loves their pet more than they love them.

Thank you for speaking out, Legendaryblaze.
I feel less alone.

I met an individual who told me that if she had to choose between saving a puppy or a human baby, that she would save the puppy in all scenarios.
Not to my surprise, she was as dumb as bricks.
What did you say to her?
Nothing really. I just think people get overly attached to animals.

An example of the pitfalls of loving your dog too much:

Yep!

There had been a similar news item recently where an elderly couple drowned after the husband jumped out of their boat to save their little dog. He ended up struggling so the wife jumps in to help him.

Only the dog survived.

I know (I think I know) that you meant this in jest cuz “yin and yang” suggest an equivalency between humans and dogs. There isn’t one.

But…many folks think there is one - which is one of the points of this thread.
Not I.

But I will say that SOME dogs are better people than SOME people I know of.

LOL

Actually yin and yang are opposites…while you posted a generally negative story of the sometimes overreactions to peoples beloved pets, I posted an article wherein a pet is worth the love a person bestows on it.

FTR I am a dog lover but do not equivocate the two (human and canine) lives as equal, however it doesn’t mean that an animal life, more specifically an animal that for all intents and purposes were created by man to help and provide companionship should be scoffed and treated as a life worth nothing of value, as some posters (not quite sure about you) seem to portray.

Agree to an extent, I believe in this case it didn’t matter what harmed the baby he would have flew off the handle, I am a cynic when it comes to crimes and the correct forms of punishment and honestly do not know what the punishment should be, but there should be some form of punishment.

I liken this story in a sense to someone getting killed in an innercity shooting. It seems like the media will interview the most cracked out, toothless person to represent the objection to what happened.

In this case you see these PETA like douches representing people who believe in animal welfare somehow representing me, who would really feel horrible for the dogs suffering, but aint gonna start picketing and looking like complete irrational dolt.

Hoping that some man is put through tremendous pain because he put down some random, useless flea bag is a bit much.
Calling him a man is an insult to men. And it wasn’t a random dog as he chose to bring the dog into his life. That means he saw a use for it. The flea part, well, it’s possible the dog got them from the “man.”
