Yea, working the low back mucho. I need low back and hip strength to lockout my pulls better, also for staying tight in the bottom of the squat. Used a 45# plate today, I may start doing these with a barbell too, we’ll see.
First day back in the gym after three days off. Fuck! Missed Tues b/c of family stuff, Wed the gym is closed, so it’s a mandatory rest day. Missed yesterday b/c work went late. It was a stressful day at work too, I needed to get in the gym. Felt like breaking something. As I was driving home I realized that I really need physical activity for my brain to feel calm, and that I haven’t been getting any activity outside of the gym lately. Understandable b/c I’m training for an upcoming meet, but I used to go on hikes, skateboard, walk, play other sports, etc. and I’m not doing that now. Maybe serious PL competing isn’t in my best interest, or I just need to find the balance. I’ll think about it more after the meet. For now, smashing PRs is priority numero uno.

@MiM Thanks for checking in. The pec is feeling good. Still a bit tight after a bench session, but I’ve been doing longer (and they were already long) warmups on upper body days to get the blood flowing there. Stretching the pec out too.
@ink LWI West Coast would be totally tits. I’m sure we could find a “real” gym in SD, or we could just pay the day fee and perform a hostile takeover of the nearest 24 hr fitness. Gearwhores and bands and chalk, oh my!
