I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that it may incriminate me.

Except LSD. That shit is pure evil. If you want to lose your mind permanantly, take that a couple times, and you will never be the same. I know, all my friends that have done it (me included) have had marked personality changes since fucking with that shit. I don’t advise it at all.

Damn, wish I knew that fact back in the seventies. Permanent, huh? I lost my mind after the first trip. So I did it about 200 more times in an attempt to get it back or retrieve a new one, not realizing that my efforts were futile. Thats time I’ll never get back.

You know what’s funny? I really know people that actually kept taking it to try and get back the mindset they had before their first trip.
Seriously, 200 trips? Damn I would be absolutely mental from that. Like, out the box, never coming home mental.
Relating to psychedlic mind loss:
Shine on you crazy diamond.
A guy I work with, his cousin went insane after using mushrooms.
He was normal, then one day he started hearing voices, his dog started talking to him and he refused to piss in toilets anymore, instead filling his duplex with 5 gallon buckets of piss.
Maybe the 'shrooms were laced with something else, maybe they were bad, who knows.
Of course, that’s not as bad as a party one of my friends was at. Guy was tripping on acid, thought his hand was a piece of chicken, started eating it.
Then there were the pictures I saw a few years ago, (I think rotten.com), guy was tripping, started peeling his face off and feeding it to his dogs.
Yeah, hallucinogens are great.

Acid was huge on campus back in my day. All the pseudo-intellectual, Tim Leary Harvard wanna-be’s were doing it. I was already insane before acid, probably why I liked to trip so much. I always felt I was in good company, except for one bad trip back in 77. I was in Las Vegas with my band…the horrors still haunt me.
my second time to try “shrooms” was interesting. at the moment the drug was taking over my body i watched a good friend light his face on fire while trying to spit flames with vodca. it set the mood for my entire night which was a terrible trip, his face was burned badly. he was shrooming as well. in the heart of a bad trip all you think about is hoping and praying that you will return to your original mindset. i got lucky and always did. as stated somewhere above, in the right environment it can be very enjoyable.

Mushrooms and LSD have the capability to bring out dormant psychological issues that people have. Problems that would never have shown up can be triggered by tripping on either one. Just a risk everyone takes when trying them.

Vegas was a hardcore gambling town in 1977, nothing like the fake Disneyland it is today. Not as polished as in the movie, “Casino” but you get the idea. Anything goes, legal or illegal, as long as you keep a low profile and don’t cross the mob. Long story short… I wandered into the middle of a bar fight and got slashed on my right forearm. The cut was about 8 inches long and superficial. But I saw lots of blood and thought I was already dead. I spent the next few hours convinced that I was actually in hell with no hope and a gripping fear. That’s about all I can say.
Shrooms can definetly be helpful in breaking down concepts. Except we have a lot of imprints sitting in the mind. So when something like Shrooms or LSD are used, these things can come up. With this there is the potential for a lot of negative side effects. Or just wasting positive imprints.
I would say meditation has a stronger and longer lasting effect. I know since meditating, all the outer ‘mind expanding’ subtances just don’t do it for me. Especially for breaking concepts and cutting through neurosi. ![]()

It’s funny that you say you were already insane, because the people I know that still do that were always a bit “off” to begin with. I think they feel at home on a trip.

You crack me up Momma. But it’s pretty clear from your posts that you were able to get of the “woods” safely.
