Magic Mushrooms, Anabolic?

I have had some great experiences eating majic mushrooms and working out the endurance is incredible.I know some of you guys may think I’m just tripping out but I don’t know if it’s just water retention or they actually have muscle building anabolic properties but I feel and look alot bigger plus the pumped look is incredible.has anyone else had expierience like this with majic mushrooms…

pictures of before and after? plain text doesnt say much in this case.

Sorry I don’t have any pictures of before and after I was just wondering if someone had a similar experience.maybe next time I take some I will take a picture of before and after.

There’s a trail not too far from where I live that has some hallucinogenic mushrooms that just grow there naturally… Trail is about 50 miles long and 100% desert.

I’ll see some dude just having the time of his life walking through the 120 degree desert heat and he’s 20+ miles from the nearest building.

Your endurance claim checks out.

I know a few people who microdose before their heaviest days and say it helps get them in the zone and work harder. Makes sense to me, but that’s my only input.

I seriously don’t know how you manage.

Beware of the personality changes caused by excessive psychedelic use. I’m a big fan of psychedelics but if you are not already very high in openness, the psychedelics will change you.

Why?

Why would a normal person benefit in any way from tripping on shrooms?

I think they’re amonst the most benign of recreational drugs for healthy, stable adults

At the same time I don’t believe they hold much value outside of medicinal/therapeutic settings.

There’s your answer. Have you seen the terminal cancer study with psilocybin? For sure one of the most impressive results I’ve seen.

I’m not so sure about any benefit to recreational use but I would not be surprised at all about future findings in some personality types and in certain situation where they have capacity to change the outlook on life for the better.

I think every adult mentally stable person should trip once before they die, it’s just a fascinating experience. I don’t recommend doing it more than that.

I recommend it once to twice a year, for zero gains  but great mental health and resetting your ambitions and goals.

I do them with close friends outdoors in a controlled setting or with one or two friends on a long mountain walk…

Long term effects are almost unheard of… almost all the bad publicity is fabricated

See professor david nutt scale for drug harm.

In the UK thats the gold standard and what psychiatrists and addiction specialists are taught to refer to. They grow everywhere in the UK… and like some others have said… i think everyone should do it once…

That’s actually not the case. There’s a lot of studies showing long term effects. The studies only use a one time trip and see these results, these are long term effects.

Yeah positive ones. Like improved connections between brain regions. Improved mood especially in people with depression

Long-term negative effects almost unheard of

Remember studies on this substance were banned, old studies we’re government propoganda only the latest studies coming out of places like the UK where medical trials have now been given the legal go ahead are relevant

Depends on what you call positive effects. There’s clear evidence psychedelics increase openness in people. I don’t think that’s good for every person. Some people are too open and that’s why they try psychedelics instead of getting their shit together. Making rather close minded but well put together people more open will have detrimental effects on their personality.

Actually there’s 10 years of studies which were “psychedelic propaganda” because every single researcher involved took them and was a fan of them. The government shut the research down not because it was anti psychedelic. These studies are ok, just not well controlled often and not with a medical hypothesis in mind. Many researchers and psychiatrists believed they are there to better well people.

I’m not interested in discussing this again with you, we did it a few years ago and I don’t see any nuance in your opinion. You probably are one of those who thinks this stuff should be put into the drinking water.

For what it’s worth, I’ve since started microdosing for mental health reasons once or twice a week (1/3 of a gram, psychedelic effects start around 1.5 grams) and tried it before my workout yesterday - I wouldn’t say it made me “stronger” but I find that microdosing is a fairly physical experience that makes me feel more in tune with what my body is doing, generally, and I will say my lifts “felt” better from a technical perspective - my form was better and I felt more comfortable lifting more weight. Keep in mind there are dozens of different kinds of mushrooms and everyone’s brain is different, but I’ll definitely try it again.
