Hard to say. Once someone makes a promise and then violates it, the worth of a promise from that person is incredibly diminished, and even if they have a steak of unbroken promises from that point on, the precedent is set that breaking a promise is still AN option they can employ. Given I don’t have a high opinion of humanity in general though, someone lacking integrity doesn’t make them much lower. But I tend to point it out to folks because many people consider themselves to have integrity, and if they’re about to take an action that breaks an oath, vow or promise, it may be something to reconsider if they wish to continue viewing themselves as someone with integrity.
