are you serious?
lol. Take a look at our Carb Cycle thread and see some of the garbage we eat as we get lean.
LoL I guess this is just where girls differ from guy… guys can get away with eating crap and still get lean. It’s different for us ladies. On the Figure Athlete forums, when we say “eat clean”, that means 110% clean 99% of the time (the other 1% coming from our weekly carbload/cheat meal). The worst thing that I put in my body is sugarfree syrup!
I recall some of Skip’s ladies taking in over 2,000g CHO of the good stuff. When I say good stuff I’m not talking about sweet potatoes and oatmeal. Definitely stick with what works. If you stall, mix it up!
ECA stacks are by most accounts the best to use ever. I have heard this from Pros, from naturals, from everyone. The ban was a real hit, and the replacements were shit.
Now i mentioned that i come from a place where supps are so expensive (3x more than usual price i guess) i’d rather just stuff my face with celery (oh thats what i’m already doing…) and fiber.
basically i follow a type of fast, where i eat lots of veg and Protein for breakfast… Try to be as busy as i can for the whole day. Drink Coffee in the AM, and just eat all the rest of my protein, veg for dinner. It helps me get through the night i guess being full (even if its just veg).
my carb up was cornflakes, rice krispies, potatoes, oats, Lots of milk, some jelly… Pasta. Seriously, i was still hungry and still am. Oh i also ate plain popcorn, but uh that dosn’t keep you full for more than 5 minutes. The movie you watch may though.
Kell: yeah i agree with them. You know your body better than us (guys tsk.), and you have been on stage before so do what works.
Lyle specifically mentions that this diet is best used for someone much leaner. I believe he says, the 10-12% range. This is most likely for two very good reasons. First, a person in the mid 20’s BF% will probably have lower insulin sensitivity and wouldn’t respond well to the carb up/refeeds to begin with. Secondly and IMO most importantly, a person in the mid 20’s does not need to go through such a tough diet like this in order to lean out. At 20 something %, just correcting your eating habits will result in great body comp. changes. Theres no need for this type of dietary/physical hell yet.
I never really got much leaner while on it. I came into with 10 or so weeks of hard keto dieting without refeeds. I think by the time I decided to do this diet, my metabolism was struggling. I remember this diet as being really difficult because of the lack of calories and amount of sets and reps during the depletion workouts.
I more recently custom made a diet in March-ish where I refed once weekly. My results were much better with my weekly calories/carbs, less volume per session in my training and a refeed almost 3 times as large as the UD 2.0’s. However, my metabolism was fresh and I was basically just coming out of my gaining phase.

We’ve had alot of good deiting threads here that should be stickied.
I’m STILL waiting for those diet calculaters that were promised!
I wish they would also sticky one recipe thread, just one, that is all I ask! A whole just nutrition forum would be best with all the diets and recipes in there and then a supps forum separate.
The diet calculators, protein calculators, ounces to grams to calories calculators. That would be great. Maybe even sticky a list and breakdown of the basic foods.
sorry didn’t mean to hijack your thread!
Oh if only my magical genie powers weren’t on strike.
