I could have made an omelette with an egg we found, but the guys thought otherwise…

Epic trip was epic. Bacon wrapping makes everything delicious, but I’m still curious how the wild game tasted compared to a ribeye or something.

Trip looks goddamn epic man. Hope to do something like that someday!

Congrats on hitting those PRs on your first session back too!

I couldn’t find an African version of this pic. :frowning:

I would like to second the question about how all the different beasties tasted compared to store bought beasties?

Let me tell you this, Major and Charlie:

Every game filet that we ate, bacon wrapped or not, was better than any store bought steaks I’ve had here in the states. The t-bone (beef) we had there was also amazeballs, probably because the cattle just roam aroud and nom all day on grass, rather than eating cornmeal and cow shit.

When we hit the restaurant on our last day, I took a bite of the steak I had and was like “Dude, this isn’t even CLOSE to the wildebeest or impala we just had.” The PH’s looked at me like I was kidding, but I was serious. Eating shit beef from the states might have made the game taste that much better, but I’m ok with that! Can’t wait to go back and eat some more next time.

In other news, I think I might have jacked up my L shoulder a bit the other night. I was doing my face pulls, and my shoulder kinda rolled out of place and then popped right back in. I didn’t think anything of it really, but now it’s bugging me a bit when I pull my arm back or up over head. I’ll take it easy for a bit, probably skip DE Upper tonight and just hit some cardio instead. My low back is also SUPER smashed from squatting the other night.

Rest, food, and recover. That’s the key to life.

Also…got more pics to upload

Yeah, the roaming and nomming all day is the key to happy cow meat. That’s why the Argies have the best beef in the world! Just pasture, upon pasture, upon pasture up der in las pampas.

Hmm…where is the shoulder pain? Is it scapular or the delt? rest that bitch up for sure!

Scapular, I’d say. I’ll rest it, ice it, take it easy for a while. Gotta make sure I’m 100% for my August 6th meet.

Another shot of me and the 'beest.

Rhinos! Sadly, I never got to make it to the areas that had rhinos. Everyone else got to see them, but me. Oh well, next time…

It was crazy, going right past these monsters. One of them charged the truck one day. Not full on “I’m going to smash you” charge, but more of a “Hey I’m big enough to fuck you up, so just get outta here, mkay?” charge.

Chilling in a blind, watching the warthogs re-hydrate. Ugly animals, they are.

See?

.300 WSM 180gr bullet, after being removed from a 550# blue wildebeest, retained 86% of its original weight. Winning!

2 stage expansion works. Only downside of the polymer tip is that it gets distorted easily from sitting in the magazine of the rifle while it’s being fired.

Pretty damn cool man, thanks for sharing

you’re a bad-ass just for shooting and eating a wildebeest.

Thanks guys.

Edgy, that wildebeest was so damn good! You wouldn’t think so, just by looking at it, that you’d want to eat it. You’d be wrong!

Bro, I am disappointment!

Where is the war paint! that would have been bad ass! You come out of the bush looking like Rambo… siiiiick

Shoulder is feeling better, not 100% yet though. I think I’ll give it another day before I test it out.

In the mean time, adding this video to Dixies new log made me want to throw it and a bunch of other vids of my favorite band, in here. I still have their “Cowboys From Hell” cd that I bought in probably 1993 (?). STILL dominates.

From The Great Southern Trendkill album:

*Solo @ 3:50 is awesome in that one

Just a few

Need a deadlift PR? Go to take the first 2:30 as your rest from your previous set, turn the volume up and grab the bar, pull when you hear the 4th “fucking”.

Boom, roasted

Edit: Fun filled trivia! The guy getting punched in the face for the album cover was paid $10 for each hit until the right picture was captured, which took 30 hits. Fuck that!

Edit: $10, not $0. Sorry greg!
