Luke Cage?

This guy is comparable to all three and he’s a freaking endurance athlete (Ironman).

The only advantage Tyrese poses is that he is actually going to “bulk up” for the movie. Now, the only thing I have agaist that is, why the f- can’t they just find someone who is ALREADY that big. Sure you might not have the acting but, Tyrese can’t be that great of an actor. Most people can’t look at him and say he could bench 415lbs. To the average viewer SIZE = Strength. Get someone who is MASSIVE.

Hollywood’s last super strong guy was the Hulk. I don’t think any of their “human” strong guys have looked like this.

Looking for a super-hero type physique?

Bob Sapp

He may be lacking in the acting department, but he’s a rhino!

A’ight, I seem to be digging this thread up, but so be it; I didn’t want to hijack any other.

In the lase little while, I have read Azzarello’s Luke Cage mini, as well as Bendis’ Daredevil run and Alias series.

I am convinced that if Marvel goes for an ‘R’ rating, a Luke Cage movie could very well be the best Marvel Flick yet; there is so much they could do.

Anyone have any comments on the new direction Cage has taken in the comics?

Yes. The whole series is being done with a more adult leaning to it. I like what they are doing with the Black Panther also. I walked into a comic store for the first time in a long time a couple of months ago and bought one of the Punisher graphic novels and to say it was “graphic” is an understatement. The Punisher movie was NOTHING like what they have done with the character in print.

I am glad they are going with this director. I think if he pulls it off and doesn’t sell out like the last Blade movie did, this may be the best one yet.
