Hey guys,
You have seen all this before so im going to keep it short and simple. im 31 years old, I’ve been dealing with ED, low/no libido, among other symptoms of low T that make me feel like complete garbage for a few years now and recently started research into TRT. I used to be a horn dog so i know something has changed but i don’t know what.
Here’s my bloodwork results(cholesterol is high, increased carbs about a month ago so might be the issue) is there anything i should be worried about besides the a1c and cholesterol?
I would take a closer look at your iron status, a ferritin of 59 while not low enough to be considered deficient, it may not be high enough for you to function normally. I have had iron deficiency recently and didn’t start feeling good until ferritin was at least 80.
You didn’t describe our lifestyle, if you don’t excersise, eat like crap and live a sedentary lifestyle and are looking for TRT to fix all your problems, you’ll feel good for a little while but it will only be temporary.
I knew I was forgetting something. I would say Im borderline moderately active, my job is physically demanding, I try to spend a couple hours outside on my days off with the dog going for walks, I try to work out 3-5 times a week. Im just coming off of stronglifts 5x5 and swapped to a 5 day split but its killing me right now with the lack of energy and motivation when i come home from work. some weeks a single session will kill the rest of the week. My diet is not on point but I’d say its decently healthy, changed my calories from 2600 to 2200. Im using eat this much app to make it easier planning meals.
I dont expect TRT to fix all of my problems, although I wish it could lol. I am only looking for someone to give me an idea of what im dealing with result wise. I used to be one of those guys that was always on the move, energy for days, had decent confidence, and smashed like a rabbit… now im limper than a noodle and most days dont even care about sex and feel like im the bottom of the totem pole
Do you have morning wood? I would guess your total test is very low with an lh of 1. Get a total testo test as well to see the whole picture. I think you are a good candidate
I haven’t had morning wood in years…does LH really affect testosterone? I’m trying to learn as much as I can as this is a new subject for me. I thought I would have had a total test done as well since this was through a private clinic, my next appointment isn’t until Nov 17th so I have no choice but to wait until then.
LH is the signal your pituitary sends to your balls to produce test. So yes.
If you have low T, your issues is either in my HPTA (secondary hypogonadism) or in your balls (primary).
