Low Libido on TRT

Why?.

On EOD my E2 Increased from 49 to 59, E3d was better for me

What is your protocol now?. Is your libido better?

Why is it better. Your T must have increased also right?

Decreased and my SHBG went up, from 35 to 50. Everyone is different

I feel you. I have been on TRT for about 14 months and the first year was hell thanks to an endo that didnt know shit and it was this forum that helped guide me. I went down to .25 2x a week and after test results I knew I was a little too low. Went to .3 2x a week and I keep a journal. Right around weeks 7-9 my erections became ROCK HARD and libido was great, it had been awhile. Then around week 10 everything started to fade and erections were once again questionable. Im waiting for 3 months and getting tested but I feel its so close to getting dialed in then it moves. I am adding this info just trying to help and I am in the same boat

You are on a very low dose why? I would increase my dose to a normal dose and get my free t above 20 and between 30. anywhere between there is a good range and most guys feel good there. Do daily and stick to it. otherwise this low dose is very low unless you are getting your free t up there.

Ive noticed estrogen effects libido quite heavily. The doctors and specialists will tell you the same. go watch the below video and listen to this expert blab away. at one point he states estrogen is the major factor for libido. Not dht not free t. Estrogen!

That doesn’t mean you go increase your estrogen. What it means is that you get your free t levels up until you feel good. When free t levels are up so are your estrogen and dht.

I would start at 150 or 200 depending on your fear of TRT. I say this because men are scared of testosterone when they shouldn’t be. TRT won’t kill you if you start at 200 and then adjust as you ask yourself ā€œhow do I feelā€. up or down. It simply guarantees that we will figure out our dose faster because either its just enough, too much or not enough. start at 50 a week and increase to 80 then 100 then 120 then 140 . wait 6 weeks each time and multiple 6 weeks x 6 dose adjustments and you are reaching 36 weeks or close to 9 months.

This guy talks about SHBG and why you don’t want to touch it as well. great video and awesome info coming from this guy. everyone should watch this video.

Just to clarify, the .3 2x a week is of a 200 ml bottle so I am injecting 120 ml a week, but it’s also subq which did create more bang for my buck. My main concern with high e2 is I have a long line of heart disease and fear the high e2 can increase the risk of heart disease. Was aiming to have my TT around 700-800.

Incorrect friend a balanced hormone balance of free t e2 and dht protects the heart. Why do you think doctor oconner crom
Anabolic doc states don’t take an AI it will cause hart attacks?

Woman who have heart attacks young have Low estrogen.

There is zero studies showing estrogen causes heart attacks. There are dozens of articles and literature showing estrogen is cardio protective.

Don’t spend your life fearing this.

Now if you have 100 e2 and 5 free t that’s another story. You could say e2 caused the health issues or alternatively the lack of hormonal balance was the issue . Why?becaude the same man could keep e2 at 100 and raise his free t into the 20s and he would be much healthier and his risk would drop at a fast.

What’s free t? Don’t worry about total.

Please do yourself a favor my friend and please go read up on estrogens benefits in men. Also in woman. Woman have the same body we do minus the reproductive organs and hormone profile. If estrogen is cardio protective in them at 200 how can we not see that as a potential cross over tk our heart health?

I hope that makes sense. I just hate to see someone run around believing bro science and not having one shred of proof to back it up. The opposite has literature and etc

Take care

I will take a look through some of my old saved pages, I have a few studies regarding the e2 and heart disease. It’s been a long year and I feel I’m close and I appreciate all advice.

Not particularly, independent of symptomatology, if bloods come back fine and cardiac health is in check there is no literature to dictate whether said concentrations are harmful, esp for a younger individual. It’s not even 2x natural physiology. I believe @dbossa’s partner keeps his free T at 60 year round, and has for many years without any troubles

I’m not making that argument, his libido is low and I believe excess levels are the cause.

There are so many doctors who also have done this. They don’t do this because of the number: they do this because their body feels good on it.

I think folks often forget that there is a reason we have such a decline in hormone health recently . It’s due to EDCs and toxins. Our bodies are being abused and attacked by ourselves and the environment. Some folks simply need More.

I’m fine with my levels and I now what it takes for me to not feel like hell. I don’t care where my levels are at because I’m healthy all around. It’s obvious via labs when you are not. Symptoms also show.

Libido can be from not having enough. Yes too much can also drop it, but looking at a level and saying you are above range is a poor way to decide what the issue is.

@systemlord with the little experiment I’m doing right now, my levels are sky high excessive for sure… and my libido is like that of an 18 year old. I can go multiple times a day and my erections could smash through drywall right now. Why would that be @systemlord if excessive levels kills libido? Huh?

I ask you again: where do you come up with this stuff?

I have a friend on a cycle and he’s going at it 4-5 times a day with his girlfriend… his libido is completely out of control.

You’re talking me into switching to 500mg/week brah

If you don’t feel like a god on 500 mg - 1 gram, something is seriously wrong with you. I am not advocating such levels for normal use, and there is an eventual price to pay for doing it long term, but you do not feel BAD at those doses. You are king. That’s just how it is.

Here’s the funny thing:

I don’t feel like a ā€˜king’. I feel ā€˜normal’. Everything works perfectly. I have zero issue. I ā€˜feel’ healthier than I’ve ever been in my life. So the question is, what effect will this have on blood work if I’m eating healthy, getting enough sleep, exercising etc. That’s what I’d like to see. Will there be any demonstrative harm or will there not be. It’s a science experiment in my case. I’m not suddenly starting to eat 4000 calories a day or working out 7 days a week in an effort to bulk up. I’m doing what I was doing already.

The main concern, from my perspective, is the heart over time. There is little to no documentation for this level of use, but it certainly has gone on for decades among lifters. Unfortunately many (Speaking of people I actually knew) die from ā€œCongenital heart failureā€. Which is not true, it’s the code for ā€œThe guy used too much stuff for too longā€. I think the main issue is changes to the heart muscle. Thickening of the walls (By building the muscle because of the extra androgens) can affect function and blood pressure, but I suspect it also would be found to affect signalling. It creates the need for a pacemaker in some guys. But this is technically ā€œBro Scienceā€ until studies can be done. And they likely will not ever be done.

That’s you, but you are imposing your experience on everyone else and the knee jerk reaction is to increase the dosage without consideration for symptoms, in fact since I have experienced these symptoms firsthand, it enables me to see things from their perspective.

I haven’t seen many cases where Free T of 30 (supraphysiological levels) is needed. I see a good majority of men having problems approaching 1000 ng/dL, the guys that are fine with these levels aren’t seeking help.
