Hi guys! I was wondering, is it possible that low E2 values during a cycle cause fat gain? so that not only too high levels of e2 cause fat gain
hormones dont cause fat gain… fat is excess calories, stored as fatty tissue. No calories to store means no fat gain on whatever the fuck your hormones do.
if different hormonal disbalances would cause fat gain from nothing, it would mean immortal people in WW2 starvation camps, but there is no such evidence… everyone was either dead as a skeleton or skinny as fuck, there were no fat chicks in the corner with “slow metabolism” or “bad E2 levels”.
fat can only be gained when there is too much food, and it will be gained no matter what, as in - no hormones can just make you shit out the calories instead of storing them, and no hormones can make you store more fat than there is actually left over to store ![]()
I found it hard to lose fat with low e2, partly because I craved sugar so fucking much I couldn’t help it. E2 goes up, cravings go away
High E2 causes water retention. This makes you look fatter.
Low E2 dries you out.
Second this. I feel like shit with E2 through the floor, but it certainly dries me out.

Most important is calories. If you’re one of those few who can discipline themselves to eat less than 3,000 calories a day, you won’t get fat. But…

In a caloric surplus, E2 is definitely a factor! Take two identical twins on their first cycle. Both eating 3,500 calories a day, both training the same. Guy 1 controls his E2, guy 2 just lets it sky rocket. Guy 2 will get fatter over time.
Before TRT, my E2 was 6.2. I ate whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, often times went on epic 3-4 day binges (like swoops said low E2 causes insane cravings) and never gained a pound. I hopped on TRT, and my E2 levels skyrocketed. then I started doing cycles and they jumped even higher. Now, I’m fat and if I even look at a donut, I get fatter.
