Low Aldosterone/SHBG

Posted some of this on another board where I know sevral guys from here post but I suffer from severe fatige, shakes, the sweats lower back and leg pain and other stuff. I am on 175mg T per week, HCG and arimidex…My newest labs show my SHBG has improved but there is low aldosterone going even lower after an ACTH stim test. here are some labs.

ACTH 12 7-50
T3 uptake 31 22-35
T4 total 11 4.5-12.5
Free Thyroxin index 3.41 1.4-3.8
GH .7 < or =10.0
IGF-1 330 64-334
E2 65 no range given…wrong test I assume.
TSH 3rd generation 2.0 0.40-4.50
SHBG up to 15 8-48
ACTH stim test baseline 11.6 60 minutes 26.3 and60 minutes later 28.4
A1C 5.6
TT 1153 250-1100
Aldosterone baseline 4, no refrence given. at 60 minutes dropped to 2 which is flagged as low. Can low aldosterone make you pee like crazy and feel weak and tired? uggggg

According to her other than high uric acid I am healthy…then she statred asking me about depression…

Have they ever checked your Reverse T3, DHEA-S, Prenenelone, Vitamin D3, or Ferritin levels?

As usually these test are just about worth less
Aldosteorone eat more sea salt to raise it.
Need ft3 and rt3, e2 sensitive essay
cortisol am and free
cortisol saliva 24 hours
Dhea urine 24 hour
Other parameters as purechance mentioned would indicate thyroid receptors response.
We need to look at the t4 to t3 conversion
I would lower the testosterone because with low SHBG you have plenty bio T which is converting to e2. I prefer lowering the dosage down slowly until you feel good and do not have symptoms of low T. With that SHBG you have plenty of good testosterone that is probably being converted to excessive estrogen which is giving you a more risk to benefit ratio. More is not better but enough to optimize how you feel with least amount of drugs needed.

RT3 has been consistantly high and D3 low, I will try again to get the rest of the tests but it’s the same story as most people…I get shrugged off. I obviously felt better on HC and T3 but my primary care doc and endo freaked out over it.

Increasing vitamin D can work to help hormone receptors. There is no excuse for being low on D because it only cost 5 bucks a month to supplemented. Once you have liver issues and can not absorbed the normal kind get the biotic research vitamin D emulsion forte. IT was the only form that worked on me because of digestion and bile issues.

What type of vitamin D3 is best?

I have been taking 15,000 iu of liquid Vitamin D3 by Pure (liquid is cheaper then pill form it seems) which bumped my D3 levels from 17 to 84.

D3 has been about mid range since doing 10,000IU per day but I would like it to be top of the range however I get a lot of sun in the summer and want to test after next week when I will be out in the sun almost 7 days straight.

You guys are testing vit-D3 and not vit-D25?

My tests are for:

Vitamin D, 25-OH Total = 57 (up from 17 six months ago but down from 84 two months ago)
Vitamin D, 25-OH D3 = 57
Vitamin D, 25-OH D2 = <4

The Vitamin D 25-H Total has always equaled the Vitamin D 25-OH D3 - so to me they are one in the same, but I probably should be more careful what I say.

I had one test six months ago for:
Vitamin D, 25-OH Total = 17
Vitamin D, 25-OH D3 = 17
Vitamin D, 25-OH D2 = <4
Vitamin D, 1, 25 (OH) 2 Total = 79
Vitamin D3, 1, 25 (OH) 2 Total = 57
Vitamin D2, 1, 25 (OH) 2 Total = 22

But the doctor didn’t talk about the last three numbers, and I have no idea what they are for.

only vitamin D 25 oh is the proper one.
I have all my guys on emulsifed for of vitamin D because many people have bile acid issues or congested livers that have hard time metabolizes fats. The fatter you are the more vitamin D you need…
