Lost Cottonseed Oil - What Else?

You asked what to do at 5:25 PM and even though by 6:56 opinion and points were posted against olive oil and an extremely inexpensive, extremely easy to get method was provided, you went ahead and used the oilve oil?

Why even ask when having zero intention of paying any attention to what anyone says, being determined to go ahead within less than 1 1/2 hours after posting?

Everyone who thought they were helping you was just having their time wasted.

Of course you’re not the first to ask for advice on forums while having absolutely zero intention of following it, it’s pretty common actually, but I really don’t understand it.

Anyway, go ahead, though it is impossible for me to figure why anything posted at this point to this followup question is any more likely to have anything to do with what you’ll do, either.

First of all I have the utmost respect for anything you have to say regaurding this matter.

I posted in a hurry. I had stuff dissolved on the stove and had realized the Cottonseed oil was missing, lost, wasn’t included with the research stuff Idk. My HUGE mistake there for not laying everything out and double checking before starting.

I called a few people I knew who are experienced with this around the same time I posted this and they had all said go with the olive oil as it’s no probs and has been done before.

So probably within 20 mins after posting this I had already used the Olive Oil.

I know in the future what I will do. This was my first go around and I had a few hiccups.

I am left with product chalked full of Olive oil and would now like to know how I should go about with it? Either chuck it and consider it an expensive mistake…or if experienced people, such as yourself, would think it’d be fine.

If I had read your response before using the Olive Oil I would have acted differently.

I was also unaware at the time of how long something can sit dissolved in BA:BB before adding the oil without it ruining.

Sorry if I had offended or angered you Bill. I did not mean to do so and was not intentionally being one of those people who asks for advice and does my own thing anyways.

I did my own thing before your’s and everybody else advice had posted on here.

Oh not at all, not a question of offending or angering – I just truly don’t understand why people post questions when they are going to do something literally in the next few minutes anyway (or otherwise they’re not going to follow any advice received) and so therefore the whole process is irrelevant, yet gone through anyway.

From your post now, I guess in this case it was sort of a desperate thing based on a mistaken idea that there was a problem having the materials sitting in the BA/BB.

Anyway the absolute worst that could happen is that conceivably an individual might be sensitive to one of the non-oil components in olive oil at relatively high local concentration while having no problem with the extremely low systemic concentrations resulting from oral use.

I’d just try injecting a quite small amount first, then go up by a factor of several times if no apparent problem after say 12 hours, and then maybe one more trial injection. I expect (but do not know) the chance of problem is well under 1 in 1000.

thats exactly what it was. I posted here and some other forums I frequent and started calling around. I was unaware that the dissolved solution can sit without oil for periods of time for no problem.

So I was in a rush and as soon as I got the ‘ok’ from a few people reguarding the unopened jug of olive oil in my cabinet I went for it.

I had figured that it was going to go bad without oil and that since it ‘might’ be ok with the olive oil I went for it.

Then the posts started coming. I guess I was hoping for a quick reply from some knowledgable fellow on here or something…but in reality I was just searching for a quick answer anywhere. lol! :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you for taking the time to respond, and as with all of your posts, in great detail as well.

I too am annoyed at people who post and then don’t seem to take any advice given.

I was not trying to be that guy…nor post and then do something immediately…I was almost in a state of panic so yea…well…lol

live and learn!

Thanks again tho Bill.

olive oil works fine. I use it. The only side effect is I can now speak Italian.
