Lost 41 Lbs in a week?!

and the show will continue to refer to weigh ins as “weekly” when they are not in fact actual seven day weeks.

thats whats gonna screw people who think they can do it too. of course if they don’t have a subway within walking distance, there is no hope of being thin.

Whenever I’ve watch videos of BBing events or ridiculous lifts, I like to watch a few minutes of biggest loser as a little self-esteem boost. I laugh while watching it.

Everything is a mental disorder, can’t you see it? You can’t be blamed for anything, its just not your fault. Your brain is broken, of course you can’t eat properly. It is written in your GENES that your body defies normal thermodynamic adaptation. Calories don’t mean SHIT if you have the right genetics.

did you watch the one from last night? They were having a sprint race and as sad as it was… it was funny to watch. I felt like a dickhead cause I wanted to laugh… but I never actually laughed so thats ok riiiiiiiight?

Its like how you think of fucked up shit in public places but you’re not sure if you should feel guilty for thinking it, so you rapidly think of something else. Its not wrong unless you show it, like laughing or saying said fucked up shit.

I used to watch too but also stopped when all they started doing was shameless advertising. Also 2 of the former contestants work out at my gym, the old guy and his wife, the old guy won the take home challenge or whatever it is. They have both successfully kept the weight off and look great. Part of it may be that when they came home they didnt really have any responsibilities, kids, work etc. But i do give them props. Shes nice, hes kinda a dick.

biggest loser protein has something like 4g protein, talk about great protein…
Is that the Jillian Michaels brand? My mom loves that stuff. Since her throat surgery and radiation/chemo she can’t eat solid foods (almost a year later!) and drinks a lot of Boost and protein shakes and stuff. I’ve tried to get her to at least use MuscleMilk or EAS, but she loves the Jillian Michaels french vanilla protein in her oatmeal. shrug

ok for anyone else who watches this show… does it make you hungry every time?

Every time I see their flashbacks and they’re eating monster burger and prime rib sandwiches I always thing “oh man that looks so good” lol
Haha, NO. I guess you’ve never been an FFB? Bast… When I watch the show I am reminded (mostly by my wife) of my previously bad eating habits. So although the show is staged, the challenges are lame and there are holes in the diet and exercise programs - I use it as another motivation to perform better in the gym.

IIRC the seasons are between 12 to 15 episodes long, but the total weight loss for a winner is usually around the 9 month period (I know between the final weigh in the house and the finale there’s a 3 month train-at-home stint meaning at least 6 months in the house).

I’ve decided to pollute another thread with LULZ

Also for people who watch Biggest Loser might like Freaky Eaters on TLC.

Addicted to cheese burgers: Freaky Eaters - Cheeseburger Addiction - YouTube

If they did that to me but with protein powder, I would punch the lady in the chest and collect as much as I could in garbage bags.

I don’t understand the tears. That’s like sitting at home on your ass and never leaving the house and crying because you don’t have a job.

It’s like crying because your grass has grown to about 6 feet tall when you have a lawn mower in the garage.

It’s like crying because your daughter is a stripper after beating her most of her life, sexually abusing her and forcing her to be a prostitute.

It makes no damn sense…but people watch it.
Too True, Prof X ! I watched a few minutes last week, where they did the “challenge” of 500 steps (on something similar to a Reebok step). So I brought my Reebok step into the living room, and did 100. I was motivated & also very curious - it took me about 4 minutes to finish. I guess it sounds dorky, but I thought it was cool that I could do a hundred, in that amount of time after working 10 hours, and lifting weights at lunch. So I felt a little sorry for the contestants (who appeared to take an hour or more…?) but mostly HAPPY for me! I appreciate my health, and bust my ass to keep it.

RAWWWR! Bring it on!

Ditto! As long as it is high quality protein. SO! New reality show idea- people who are fairly fit, going through a “boot camp” where they prep to enter a competition! ;o) I would go for that. It wouldn’t draw a big emo crowd, though. Hmmm. Dang it.

if i got anything less than an A on my test today, i blame H$M. I watched many of those vids, some of them twice.

^yeah i posted that in the wrong thread

WHATCHYA GONNA DO 'BOUT IT?

.stays.

Does that mean the contestants are older than they look? (or younger)
what happens at the end of a series, do they get jet lag?
