Loss of Eyebrows

Can TRT cause eyebrows to fall out or diminish in density?

No, start with having your thyroid checked out.

Yep, thyroid. TRT can reveal other weak systems since testosterone increases metabolic rates and therefore metabolism.

I would test TSH, Free T4, Free T3. The Free T3 is where the rubber meets the road.

Be careful that your balls don’t fall off. Sometimes this happens due to high E2.

Its funny, my outer eyebrows been thinning and falling since the last 6 or 7 years or so. I am low T. But my thyroids just fine or at least so it seems based on Labs.
I heard about thyroid and eyebrows thinning, but cant it be caused by low T?

Thinning eyebrows is a classic low thyroid symptom if it happensout of nowhere.

Eyebrows can thin a little with age.

I have heard many say this only to find out this isn’t the case. Thyroid levels can still be in the normal range and someone can still have a thyroid problem.

Oh…it’s hard to convice a doctor with “in range” Labs. Specially mid range. Been there with low T and didn’t make it.

Mine have been progressivly thinning and perhaps falling in the outer area. Thought it was low T related.

Your doctor can’t prove midrange is normal for YOU, he can only prove it’s normal for everyone.

We need to be treated on an individual basis, not as a group.

Its a shame we dont have records from our Labs in our prime. Its already hard to find a TRT doctor. Cant imagine how i could convince One about my eyebrows getting thinner due to thyroid. And to treat it!!

My eyebrows have grown back fully. I am thinking that it might have been my two doses of Anastrozole.

Hair loss is a known side effect of anastrozole.
