Losing Fat Quick Via Low Carb

So, let’s say 1.1g/kg of protein to remain above zero in nitrogen balance. that’s about 360 calories of protein for a 180 lb man. and according to jmocfu78, that’s 90 percent of our total calories here. so we’d be eating 400 total calories a day, and this would provide the fastest loss. whatev[/quote]

For people who are active in weight training it is recommended to take protein upwards of 1.2-1.5g/lb. Then you have to consider calories coming from the tons of veggies and EFAs that you consume per day. This equals to at least 1000 calories per day for a 180lb. A 180lb man taking in only 90g of protein per day is obviously a bad move. Nobody said that you should be taking in 1.1g/kg of protein in this diet.

Our recommendations are NOT BASED ON KILOS; they are on POUNDS.

Do people even fucking read writings in full anymore?!

Do people even fucking know how to interpret any god-damned form of media these days?!

I sometimes feel like I’m dealing with people with the attention span of a 1-year old!

no, you’re not dealing with a 1-year old, just toocul4u.

but hey, he’s a student of “truth, fact and science”, so he must know his shit right?

you haven’t made a single “recommendation” based on kilos OR pounds here, don’t you read your own fucking writings?

It was said to take only the minimum protein needed to maintain muscle. I’m wondering where you are getting 1.2-1.5g/lb as a minumum?

to quote myself earlier in this very thread I said “as calories come down, protein needs go up”

therefore, the numbers you presented are not applicable. you can get away with MUCH less protein if your overall calories are above maintenance. however, this is not so while dieting, especially a “hardcore” diet designed for maximum fat loss in minimum time.

if you want actual numbers, buy the book in the link I provided earlier.

toocul4u, I know I’ve said this before, but please consider finding a new hobby. knitting maybe?

I’m glad toocul is actually reading some decent information though. I’ve used AJCN for a ton of reports and reading.

Well, sorry, but “yourself” isn’t a good enough reference for me.

you guys get mad because i hold you responsible for the hhhuuuuuge way your mouths run.

Why not increase fat more than you say, without exceeding the top number of calories? doing that would require less protein, as you just said, it would also create a better hormonal environment for continued fat burning.

tell you what toocul4u, how about you go on a diet of 1,200-1,400 calories but only eat 1.1g/kg of protein (or whatever numbers you threw out earlier), and make the rest come from fat.

Then, you can compare your results with Brick’s PSMF diet he’s on (or was on).

Go ahead and do that, then report back how your strength/muscle mass holds up. I look forward to your results

How was your diet and training like if you don’t mind me asking? How much carbs, protein, fat etc?
