My anxiety has been a little weird since the end of last week. It’s likely just holiday stress, but because I’ve been down at my baseline for a while now, I think it’s worth monitoring it for at least the next few days.
I also realized that while I get a lot of my steps in walking our dog and taking the bus to work, I got out of my habit of going on a lunch walk during my office hours. I need to keep reminding myself that it’s my time, too. We’re almost never busy enough to skip it, and they don’t pay me for it either!

My swing was pretty sloppy on all but my 3rd set, but it was fun. Switching styles did next to nothing for my back though. It may have even felt slightly worse.

My back discomfort seems to be just above my left hip. I did a few hinges unweighted, and I noticed that adding a small squat to my form takes some pressure off it. I’m guessing I made a bad adjustment with my back, and it stuck, but I can work on correcting it now.
I followed up from earlier this week and tried a small squat with my hinge. I didn’t realize how stiff-legged I was during it. My back discomfort was basically gone, and my clean and swing felt stronger. I think I’m finally solving the problem.

Someone’s car was stuck in the snow by our apartment. I almost got them out by myself, but I needed at least another person for the final push. I guess I have a lot more work to do.

Work is really affecting me this week, and I talked myself into this one with the promise of bailing whenever I felt like it. Except, I’m stubborn and finished the whole thing anyway, which I think made me feel worse.
