Looking for Replacement TRT Doctor

Hey all…

I’m a low SHBG guy. I’m 41 been on TRT for 3 years and have not got it right still.

Been with defy for 3 years and I don’t think any of them besides Dr. Saya have a clue what they are doing. It takes forever to get an appt so I usually end up with the others and I’m not happy.

I hate that I’m in decent shape at 41 and have ED problems for a few years. I just don’t know how much TRT is doing for me. Even Cialis daily 10mg and Viagra doesn’t seem to be working many times. Something is off and it isn’t vascular bc for as many times as it doesn’t work well is as many times as it went great.

Looking for a new Dr. Open to trying creams. Read about Dr Nichols but heard a bit controversial with him. Anyone else?

Would love some help for a good telemedicine doc anywhere in the country or someone local on Long Island. Please don’t say Dr. Rotman here bc I was not thrilled with him either a few years ago.

Thanks in advance.

What are your issues? What protocols haves you tried?

I wouldn’t go that far. I know several patients that are happy but also don’t have the appt issues. That’s strange, have you discussed it with the doc?

If I want to see Dr Saya it’s several weeks out every time I try to make an appt.

I have been on test cyp various dosages from .08mL daily to .15mL daily. Also been with HCG and without HCG. Never really felt dialed in.

Looking at alternatives at this point.

Labwork would be a good place to start. After 3 years I’m sure you have lots of it. That would help as a guide to see where you can make adjustments

Dr. Saya has treated countless men with low SHBG and if anyone can direct your treatment well, it’s him. I have had consultations with him and was never been left disappointed.

Some men need very frequent dosing to fully benefit from TRT, myself included.

A couple of weeks is nothing.

3 years I’m doing this with Doctor Saya and his staff. I’m looking for something new. Anyone have a recommendation?

BTW I enjoy your posts

You’re not going to find a better doc than Saya. I see now what you mean though about waiting… you’re seeing ‘The man’ at that clinic. Of course you’re going to have to wait. They have other qualfied docs there for faster service.

You have a wealth of information at your disposal with this forum. I suggest starting to become your own advocate. Post the labs and protocols with as much detail as @systemlord stated. You may get some suggestions to discuss with your doc.

What’s your thought on Keith Nichols?

I’m using Justin Groce out of TN at the restore clinic. I’ve enjoyed working with him as he cares about how you feel and numbers as well as being open to trying new things.

The only doctor I can thinking of that is better than Dr. Saya is Dr. Rob Kominiarek, but it will cost a bit more and you’ll be getting a doctor that is educated in every part of the human anatomy.

If Dr. Rob Kominiarek can’t figure you out, I doubt anyone can.

Is Keith Nichols any good?

He is very knowledgeable, even in females hormones. If I were looking for a new doctor privately, I wouldn’t hesitate to get an appointment with Dr. Rob.

Did you have ED and Libido issues prior to TRT?

Yes I did

I had ED and lower libido prior to TRT too and TRT hasn’t helped.

Are you secondary or primary hypo?

Secondary

Me too.

My experience on these boards seems to suggest secondary guys have more issues with libido/ED.
